The game has a cheater every 100 or less players. It's been ramping up lately. If I'm to climb what so ever. I will continue to vibe, collect some good **bleep**. Get that mythic bin. Maybe get a team to kill then if I'm lucky push the team that's been cheating with 3k damage and 8 kills. The blatant aim assist on PC has come to light and there's wallers everywhere. It's not as obvious. Do your due diligence and respect the peeps who wanna at least get good placements. You can land at the hot zones or center POI and gamble to face off against these cheaters. They only land center of the map or early because they know they can W key or push constantly, knock 1-2 minimum and profit off people not giving a **bleep** enough to report or watch for more than 30 seconds. -peace.

The idea that every single player in the game enters into matches with the exact same mindset, match goals, attitude, or skill set, is crazy on the face of it. Expect to see some variation in behaviors and don't imagine for a minute that just because you're in a ranked mode that things will get much better. Maybe a little, but maybe not.
What I mean is this; This game is not a hide and seek. Even if he plays in fun mode, he can do the same things. But they prevent people who want to play more serious games from advancing. These are toxic players. They destroy people's efforts. That's why the ranking system needs to be improved.

Well, since you brought it up... it's an interesting point. Some people, MOST people, who play this game think that it is a competitive shooter. Some people, relatively few but still some, see it as a stealth survival game. Who is right and who is wrong? Is it the first group because they have legion short-attention-span pre-teens on their side? Is it the second group because they understand the difference between short-term fun and long-term success? The truth, as with so many things in life, is somewhere in between. But when faced with teammates who believe in one extreme of the continuum and may not even be aware of the existence of the other end... then what are you supposed to do? Call your squadmates "toxic" and report them for sabotage? Get them banned? Did they ruin your match? Or did you ruin theirs?
I've had way too many teammates over the years who said about me exactly what you said about them: "...didn't contribute anything to the team." Which I translate as, "...refused to help me on my hot drop suicide mission." I'm sorry the game doesn't match teammates on play style rather than... whatever it is they think they're matching us on. We'd all be happier if it were so.
If you want to "play more serious games" then there are plenty of discord groups for you to join and squad up with like minded players.
Differing strategies are not necessarily un-serious.

LMAO, that is such an entertaining thought. Is it really wrong to play such a style of preference?
I mean, my squad made champion and we NEVER encountered any other squad (not for a lack of trying, we just never caught up to any in time). So shooting isn't the only path to champion.
