S13 TTK
Good morning Legends,
S12 is in its last few hours and then it is Time To Kill in S13.
Yup TTK is the theme of this post.
I know a lot of people are not at all that happy with a lot of the changes coming to S13 or why they were done, especially how they impact TTK ( @hayhor ) from some of your posts in other threads. Many weapons have ben hit with general damage reduction especially in the headshot dmg and multipliers along with increased helmet protection vs headshots, which will in essence translate into higher TTK times.
@KelRiever I know this makes you sad and all of the water pistols you keep talking about just got watered down even more.
I do not agree with all of the changes and think that the Kraber should have been left as it was, a rare niche weapon that packs a wallop, oh well. In all actuality I think its head shot dmg should have been increased to the point that if you had a red shield =nock and anything else = boxed.
All in all I think this move is probably one of the best things EA/Respawn could have done at the moment along with the new Ranked KP/RP structure. Kel don’t bash me on this just yet.
The changes are very sublime and actually a stroke of genius, why do you ask, well here is what I think about it:
- Increasing the TTK will impact new players/struggling players and increase their survivability, maybe not vs preds but overall. This translates into helping to retain new players and the player base. While making fights albeit longer but more exciting.
- The increased TTK paired with the increased kill assist timer will provide more time for team KP and kill assist KP in ranked play, making team play overall and especially in ranked more valuable and attractive.
- Coupled with points 1 and 2 I believe that these changes were made to also get ready for S14 and the introduction of the new sniper Legend which will probably have some sort of kit that increases dmg individually or for the team or for both, thus putting them back to S12 dmg or better, thus not being to OP as TTK is concerned.
So those are my initial thoughts on the why the TTK was changed.
Now I am going to go get my fire proof clothes on because I think I am about to get Flamed 😉

Well, can't say the TTK feels particularly different, missing shots is marginally more punishing but that's about it. *shrugs*
