Steam nickname in apex legends
When i play through Steam client i have Steam account name instead of EA name. Is that how it should be? Is it possible to change nickname without changing Steam account name?

That's right. I can't tell you what setting to change as I play on console. Just please do everyone a favor and don't use wildly offensive names.
@Owari-desuyou will have to name your steam display name the same as your EA ID, there is no other option besides that for you unfortunately. I like it, I can insert whatever characters, even ツ in steam. Plus I can insert space too
Halo infinite does the opposite, screw Xbox
