Sure about getting a guaranteed heirloom pack every 500 packs? Well….

Well, yeah. Today I understood that I’ve already opened 500+ apex packs, if include every event pack I’ve opened until today (Yeah, as you thought that they do not count - say it to this guy:

https://youtu.be/fSZxJG1Tlhk).

but even if they should not count - the event packs,- I definitely is more then over 500 packs. Because I just opened 300+ of them during this two weeks, and the heirloom that I got from the packs was only Wraith Heirloom during season 0 or season 1… and yeah, I played enough after this time.

I was a bit confused and wanted to ask EA Help like.. is everything okay?

They could not say me anything else then just offer to go to the form and open a topic, that’s what I am doing now.

but before this I wanted to find the video linked above to prove that event packs are also have a possibility to drop the shards (and not in the way you would like them to, huh)… when I found this video.

Just watch it from 2:00 -

https://youtu.be/A_SAfnwjiY8

so as I can understand I am not the one with this problem.
LoL, I can’t enshrine how unfair it is, like.. it seems like EA closed an ability of guaranteed heirloom of every 500 packs. They thought it is not enough, uh? Just a little of calculations here -> 500 packs will cost you 380$ to get even with an EA acces 10% discount. They think it is cheap, as we can see.

Just wonder what you think of all of it.
I am like a bit … shocked.

  • I finally got a chance to watch the first video and wow do I feel sorry for people that believe that guy. First of all the 500 pack guarantee is not a myth. Second of all your heirloom pack chances do not go up when you craft lower items. His advice to do this is wasting your crafting mats. His advice that you'll just get crafting mats in their place instead is also incorrect because you only get half the value of crafting mats. Let's look at blue items- A blue item is 60 crafting mats. I own every blue item in the game. Any blue item I get I only get 30 crafting mats.

  • @Dr_Jackell Heirlooms def will come 100% of the time if they hit pack 500. While some event packs do count some others may not depending on the type of the event. Last season for example. If someone played from the first battle pass to the tee on season launch they would only be at around 402 packs total from battle pass 1 to last season. So this of course will not equal 500. They are quite random I've gotten one at pack 500 myself. Rest assure though the systel will grant it either from a random pack or pack 500.
  • So you GUARANTEE me that every 500 packs I should get a Heirloom pack? Because I am not counting only the packs that were free, as I said - I bought a lot also. And didn’t get any heirloom shards. Just as I said also - only this week I’ve opened 320 packs. And a lot before, mostly more or at least close to last 180.

  • @Dr_Jackell The unluckiest pack ever video is fake. It even says so in the description.

So far every single forum person I've seen that's claimed they had acquired enough packs but didn't get an heirloom has overestimated the amount of packs they've opened. Typically those people base it on money spent and fail to account for straight skin purchases which add up very quickly. CMs used to be able to check but I'll raise this to them to see if they can help you.
  • Read the description on that Kralrindo video. The 500 pack is hard coded in the game.

If this estimate is correct, then you will probably pull shards any pack now.  If I were in your shoes, I would take advantage of the current bundle that gives 20 packs for $10.

For reference, using the apex pack calculator, if soneone has played since day 1 and gotten every free pack possible to get, then will have gotten to 509 packs once opening every pack from this season.

Last season, I used the bundles available for the 3rd anniversary to get my shards.  I knew I was at around 380 free packs.  Judging from the number of packs I bought, if it was not my 500th pack that pulled the shards, it was very close to that.  Despite hearing about the occasional super lucky person, I think the vast majority of players do not pull shards until the 500 pack pity timer is engaged.

  • First of all, thank you for your patience and for your engagement. Appreciate that.

Seems like I got a bit (pretty enough) upset due to my unluck of apex packs opening and after also seeing these two videos I got a bit crazy. So the idea of this topic opening was to understand what is wrong and what is right.

    Great thanks to everybody’s answers!
