Switching up tactics
So yesterday I played differently than I usually do. Instead of hotdropping and engaging any nearby enemies, I went to ‘soft’ places and only fought when it needed to be done... got several wins bec...
Sure killing early game is fun, but there's nothing like the tension when you get down to a small ring and there are less than four squads remaining. It becomestactical - much more than landing at the right bin and blasting those who chose one containing two thermite grenades and a blue knockdown shield.
Yesterday I had a classic win - I was with a Caustic who seemed to know every square inch of the map (KC). With just two squads remaining he guided me to a high spot that - if you ventured a few pixels to the left or to the right - the 'Return to Battle' warning would sound. From our vantage point we could simply pick off anyone we saw as it was almost impossible to hit us.
Unfortunately I fell down when it was two squads 2x2 but I won a 1v1 with a fellow BH then the Caustic took care of the Mirage who started firing at me for my 38th S5 win.
I enjoyed this much better than landing under the Tree, opening all four bins and ending up with nothing more than a Mozambique and a P2020, then getting killed by the first person you encounter.
