A few hours ago there were a lot of rumors of Amazon buying apex but was confirmed to be false. Watching this news closely.
@Cheese9Man not sure what to think about that. On one hand, it could be positive to have a new company takeover and change some things but on the other hand...what does amazon know about game developing or even managing.
Hold on, would that mean that Amazon would buy out EA or Respawn from EA?
It's not the same as Notch sold out Mojang to Microsoft. I think EA have their own ambitions.

@Cheese9Man Seriously? Let's calculate. What is Amazons income vs EA's yearly? How much profit could the sellers make in the long term, compared to the annual profit of EA alone? EA is huge, that would mean anyone working for EA would have to profit from it to be worth it. Otherwise it all would go downhill. We're talking about a significant portion of Amazons wealth, after Bezos ex-wife already took a big chunk out of it. We're not talking about buying the rights to screw up the LOTR series. We're talking about EA, an infrastructure on itself.
According to the most recent reports, including from CNBC, this was fake news.
