I got caught in probably the furthest circle I've encountered since I started playing this game. Why is there a timeout for being out of zone? Seriously, the dumbest mechanic, and redundant for no reason. The reason for it being implemented, was that horrible season you guys totally botched.
The circles close in, they increase with damage each tier, why on earth is there also a timeout mechanic?!?!
@RaginSam afaik it's to prevent storm camping being used as a tactic to win the game. Fortnite also has this now.

You can only craft one item now. Who cares if you can "camp" the storm anyways. Design flaw if that's a valid tactic.
Again, the circles close in with increasing damage. It's a redundant mechanic that doesn't need to exist.
@hayhorIt was 60 seconds, and it activated because of how far I had to travel. I played a lot of rounds going in out of circles because I solo queue quite a bit leveling up a new account. It's only happened once, but the point is it shouldn't be in the game. I crafted a banner, got caught in the circle for a second, and the timer started as I traveled to zone.
It was put in place because of that abysmal season they totally botched. It's not needed and is redundant.

I was there lol, I don't need to look up how long the timer is. I’m telling you what happened to me. I wasn’t in the ring for 5 minutes! When can you even be in a ring for that long?! They close faster than that. You keep approaching the forums like the game runs flawlessly and has no bugs.
I got out of the first circle, crafted a banner, got caught in the second circle while grabbing meds off of a couple death boxes, then the timer started almost immediately.
You’re missing the point, the game was designed to have no benefit staying in the circle. There should be NO timeout mechanic! Simple as that. It’s a lazy fix. There is zero reason for it being in the game.
@RaginSam you can build up a stack of meds by looking for them, and there's lifeline.....

One specific character, and you need a heat shield in order to use the drone. Still not sold on this being needed.
Is there a problem this season with people camping out of zone? They increased the damage of both circle one and two.
You guys aren’t really making any solid arguments for it existing. It was a bandaid for a horrible season. It doesn’t need to be in the game anymore. If anything, it’s probably bugged, because I WAS NOT out of the zone for 5 minutes.
What’s the deal with defending bad game design anyways around here?
@RaginSamI don't act like this game doesn't have bugs. It could very well be that your timer got messed up and there's a bug. Only you would know that though and if it happened report it. You mention being in the ring multiple times. I do not believe the timer resets. It cumulative like the OOB timer.
As for whether it's in the game, I personally do not care. It has no affect on my gameplay.
