Can someone explain to me how sbmm works in this game in pubs? is it even there? is it working at all?What logic decides a previous season predator with 5+kd, 20k kills, should be in the lobby with with golds and plats? and yes im talking about pubsWhat are these guys doing in our lobbies? Can someone explain that to me?How does sbmm work? with kd's? with current ranked rank? with kills? with experience (hours in the game)?

I don't know if they'll ever tell us directly because once players know how it works they look for ways to manipulate it.Based on what I have seen and heard from other players, SBMM is based on a fairly short sampling of your game stats, something in the neighborhood of the last 25-30 games played. It seems to take about that many to go from top tier lobbies down to noob lobbies. How ever in my experience it only takes a handful of really good games in a row to start being bumped up into higher skill lobbies. I had a streak of 5--6 games doing 1500-2k damage and was in a lobby with 6-7 pred squads and nothing but diamond trials coming out the ship.It also seems to be based on an average of your teams overall numbers. When I play with my high skill friends we end up in lobbies that seem to be some place between top tier and middle skill. They occasionally have predators, some master trails coming out the ship. If I'm having a good night or week we end up in the top tier lobbies.How ever even when I'm doing extremely well, if I play with a noob we don't seem to be in the really really hard lobbies.

All it takes, is 1 game..I came back today after 3 days not playing. First lobby, 3 master trails, full stack diamond team, and champion had a 4k badge and 20 badge.So I sift through these lobbies quick, dying almost instant, cause well, it's been 3 days and I need some time to warm up. Next 2-4 lobbies are the same story.After those games, I finally get somewhat of a decent lobby judging by champion and only a few diamond trails.Our team proceeds and win this game with 4 kills and 1200 damage. (no bots, but decent skilled enemys)Next game, and this is no joke, 7 master trails, and handfull of diamonds.. COMOOOOOONI left said lobby and quit the game instantly out of frustration..I'm so done with how this sbmm system works..

@SuperSletsen its easy... lose 100 games... or in rare cases 150.. and the next game you have sure win.. with normal matchmaking... but beware after that win the clock resets and you are matched with predators again so that you keep playing 100 more games...SBMM FTW

To put things abit in perspective:I'm a season 0 player, and when I started I was totaly new to BR and multiplayer FPS shooters.Season 3 was by far my best ever season, I had so much fun and won a good amount of games..After season 5 , everything went down the *..Back then I was a bangalore main. Right now I have 4200 kills with 198 wins on bangalore (most part pre season 5).After season 4/5 I started playing more pathfinder. Right now I have 5300 kills and only 115 wins.See a trend here?my s3 win rate was over 4.3% which translates roughly in a win 1/25 games.s4/s5 as well, over 4% winrateNow I barely hit 1.5% which means 1/75 games is a win, whilest still improving every season (although I think i kinda hit the sealing at this point)I do be getting more kills, but it's impossible to win a game these days! And in all honnesty, since s7/8 I'm not playing for wins anymore. I'm scared of winning just because the stupid system puts me in to lobbies way beyond my skill level.So I drop hot or close to teams so I can get kills early on. once I stack up a few kills and go down, I mostly just leave.If you guys aren't bothered to fix your damn game, I'm not bothered in any way to play it as we are supposed to be.

@ShawtyShowmananother solution which I am doing recently is whenever am playing with randoms and I see 3 stack champion squad or too many pred/master trials on drop I just leave the match.sorry randoms/sorry apex/sorry apex community but this really helped me enjoy the game more without the stress and frustration also it's a waste of time facing these guys as their way of playing the game by holding hands like little kids out of school or it's like the world championship is not a thing am willing to deal with anymore.so if you really want to enjoy the game just stay away from these guys as this is the only solution, Respawn is not doing and not willing to do anything about it, but we can do

Tired of seeing predators and way better players, plz explain

@SuperSletsen This is happening to me to! I am a plat player, and once I get 2 or 3 2 kill games in a row, suddenly i'm playing w/ preds. Ridiculous.

I mean, I don't mind fighting diamonds, although my 0.92kd avarage over all seasons and 7k matches (1.40kd S5) * struggles an afwul lot, I think it's still enjoyable.
Where I draw the line are the Masters and Preds in the lobbie. Not to mention the predators that think it's funny to roll full stack in pubs. like gtfo
Also, why is it always the other squad that gets the predators and diamonds in their team? And i get, maybe slightly better, similar skilled, worse or alot worse teammates?
Ranked sbmm system works! why? cause that's overall skill based.
sbmm (if it is in there) in pubs doesn't make sence to me.
THANK GOD we have RANKED to play CASUAL and RELAXED. Does that make sence? (no it doesn't)

@SuperSletsen The difference between you and a master player is probably a lot smaller than you realize. It’s also mostly psychological, you’re just psyching yourself out. Thinking you can’t beat em.

I get paired with preds semi frequently in Duos. They don’t always carry me, in fact I occasionally carry them and the highest rank I’ve made was platinum 4 or 3 in Season 3. I had revive one predator 4 times one round. He was definitely struggling.

I have squad wiped a premade pred squad once with an L-star in Season 3. They basically insta dropped my squad mates. I was bang, popped smoked and used the digi threat + bangs ult/smoke yo drop them one by one. So it definitely is possible.

I swear this game will die out in BR mode and will only survive with arenas mode, devs probably knew about this and that's why they added this mode. It doesn't matter anymore if you play in ranked or pubs, tryhards with diamond and platinum badges are in the bronze ranks when you start to play ranked at the start of the season and the pubs are no different as well, even with a newbie friend I get master or predator enemies in my lobby. This is outrageous, takes away all the fun from the game, how am I supposed to introduce my friends to this game, if they have chance to kill any of these disgusting sweaty TTV imbeciles, they just go to pubs to grief on people because it's an easy kill for the, for the "content"...

Exclusive Ace and Driftor looked into the Warzone matchmaking and they concluded it was based on the last 5 games or so, I really don't think it it's based on much more than that. Also the game has been out for years so there are a lot of good players.
Can someone explain to me how you become a Master/Pred? I've googled it but can't find out exactly how you do this. Also how do you tell them from the drop?

My best ranked rating is like... gold 1, I think. And in my last 4 battle royale games (in a row!!) I've been absolutely murdered by 20 bomb 4k ttvs. Not too fun. Then all of a sudden I'm in in a lobby with a level 20 champion! "Okay," I think. "Maybe things will go better for me this game." But wait! A pred?! Maybe they'll get killed. They are going to the hot drop after all. Fast forward to the final 2 squads. I've seen nobody all game. And all of a sudden, I'm dead, and the pred has a 22nd kill.
In summary, this game is fun. Most of the time. But some days, it's a chore to play.
