Before people start sucking at Apex's teet and screaming 'lol cya no one cares' take a moment to take stock of how utterly cancerous it is to queue up with random players. Absolutely horrendous experience 95% of the time. Just felt like throwing this out there.

Same boat. Pretty much done with this game until solo mode is put in. Kinda upsetting when I ping a squad for 900 dmg knock 2 get the 3rd guy down to 50hp and get knocked...meanwhile I see my "teammates" sitting behind a boulder. Note I've pinged all 3 enemies and called out 1 down..another down...I'm down...50 health...now I watch my 2 "teammates lose a collective 400 health whilst not being able to deal 50 dmg. Now we are dead and the stat screen pops up and I have 3 kills 1300 dmg and my pair of lvl 5 teammates have 0 kills and 20 dmg each. Yeah fun game...might as well just drive solo so I don't have to share loot

Or they could just add solo/duo...or skill based matchmaking...

Solo (and DUO modes hopefully) are very much needed and the reasons are actually more then few.First and foremost if this game wants to stay competitive with other Battle royales it needs to offer what those other Battle royale games have and -more-. Fortnite, PUBG, COD, ROE, all of those games have solo, duos, squad modes. Apex isn't doing anything unique when they offer squad orientated gameplay mode, because every other battle royale game have -that-. They are actually staying behind, because they do not offer the rest of the modes other battle royale games do and by doing so lose on a huge portion of playerbase.Dont get me wrong. Apex is quite unique, but that uniqueness isnt in the game mode, its in the fast phased combat and the diverse type of legends you can play.While squads is great way to play a game, sadly it has proven time and time again that its absolutely horrible experience to play with randoms and Apex isn't an exception. Once in a full moon you get actually decent team, where there is good communication (either through mics or the ingame ping system) and you get a decent and fun game and even some wins.Sadly 99% (and this is not exaggarated in the slightest atleast in my experience) the games with randoms are a clown fiesta.I lost count on how many times my "teammates" revive me only to find half of my loot gone from my box. I literally had a guy that looted my box right infront of me, as i was going back to pick my loot. (And no, the fact that he revived me, doesnt make it okay to loot half of my stuff). I had a guy that grabbed a wingman right underneat me and then RAN away and left me to fight against two squad guys on my own melee (they were both melee aswell, so we could've taken them easily if he stayed with that wingman), but no, he ran to loot. I lost count on how many times i get one of those tryhards with TTV in their names where they run solo or rush entire squads on their own, cause you see they already found their perfect loadout, but they dont give a flying f*** that the rest of their teams hasnt yet, so that games end pretty quickly. I lost count how many times level 2 players decide its the best idea to drop right into the hotzones, while not having any experience whatsoever and gets destroyed while fire testing the weapons they just picked into the nearby walls.Bottom line is -- squads is a mode that is best to play with friends. Playing squads with randoms is a horrible, HORRIBLE idea and annoying experience for the majority of the time and i am buffled by the fact that Respawn decided its just a great idea to have only that mode in their game.

Well it's a coop game right now, so I'd assume you should play it with friends to fully enjoy it, if you have them that is.Playing with randoms will bring you random gamma of experiences, esspecially that there is no region preference and you can be teamed with whoever in the world is playing.I've had my share of preatty good randoms that tend to work as a team and support each other, but also had those I call "COD KIDS" that solo hot-drop without comunicating/pinging, die instantly and dc as soon they are downed. The latter is deffinietly not pleasant experience.While having solo and duo queues would be fun to play and see how meta shapes I do not belive it is a priority in development process.

Why is it? Because they hold you back? They make fun of you?

Holding back part well think of it as a handicap until solo mode happens. (if it does.)
If they make fun of you or trash talk. Ignore them, it is not hard.
I don't see a reason why you would stop playing over it. The game has some problems sure...but right now this one I don't see it just yet.

Give it time they might add a gamemode one day and allow people to try out solo. Shame you will be getting rusty until then. Should just take the time to keep and improve your game sense until then.

Playing with randoms will bring you random gamma of experiences, esspecially that there is no region preference and you can be teamed with whoever in the world is playing.

I've had my share of preatty good randoms that tend to work as a team and support each other, but also had those I call "COD KIDS" that solo hot-drop without comunicating/pinging, die instantly and dc as soon they are downed. The latter is deffinietly not pleasant experience.

While having solo and duo queues would be fun to play and see how meta shapes I do not belive it is a priority in development process.

I say this being neither a rubbish player nor an excellent one.
The problem with joining groups is that pretty quickly you're either going to want to politely decline certain invitations (leading to offense) or be politely (at best) declined.
Skill based MM is desperately needed because most people neither want to be an anchor nor want to be anchored to people less skilled than them.

Last week me and a friend played and almost every single match the 3rd random teammate either disconnected right away or got downed and disconnected. I lie to you not it was actually more fun when it was just us two and we got a couple wins that way but its still a problem regardless.

@ZeBlindRabbit I've shared a guide with provided evidence that you can achieve victories all by yourself. A fully dedicated solo mode might never happen as the legend system is purely designed for team play.

So you're rage quitting over something you can already do.
Jump solo, play solo & win solo.
