Visual clutter has to go

Let's talk about visual clutter.

Why? Why have it in the game? I mean I know why, it keeps players attention if there is a ton of flashing visuals. Kinda the whole point of Fortnites design. It's meant to keep players attention, it's mostly for kids who are more likely to spend money, but yeah...

Visual clutter for those that don't know, is any unnecessary visuals.

For instance, when you're kill leader you get this big flashy banner in the middle of your screen(accompanied with ungodly amounts of audio clutter). It's not necessary, and honestly should be able to be disabled.

Muzzle flash is a big problem in this game, even the pros think so as well(for what that's worth). Being flash banged for shooting is absurd, and unnecessary. I mean really, why? Out of everything you could have done to shooting, tons of muzzle flash was the choice? Should be able to be disabled. Having attachment rng being a factor for going blind while shooting is too much, even for an rng based game like a battle royale.

Circle. Gonna need a seizure warning for this. God, the circle is almost entirely visual clutter. The bright orange tint to everything, the flashing effect, the flinching effect, the flashing words in the middle of your screen. Couple this with muzzle flash, and your giving epileptics the worst possible experience(I'm not epileptic, but I sure feel I could become one with this trash). Give the option the borderline remove all of the circles visual effects. I have a map and my health being ticked away, that it all the indication of the circle I need.

Anyone else have any examples of unnecessary visuals in this game I didn't list, these are just the most obvious ones.

  • Literally only r99 has enough muzzle flash to impact visibility and ONLY if it's shot in dark and shaded places like the tunnels. Anywhere in the open and you keep good vision even with iron sights, and with any sights it's practically not there.

  • I guarantee all this is the work of UX ("user experience") people, who seem to love tormenting users.

What? I have never had issues tracking people with r301, regardless of sights or location.

Only R9 in particularly dark places without any optic gets a little harder, and forces you to rely somewhat on movement prediction.

@Wingmannedbro  well thats weird, i was literally using one in the sorting factory long building before i posted that, looked like somebody had hung a string of firecrackers off the end of my gun it was that bright.

Could have just been because its a dark area i guess?
