What is with the quantity of hacking in this game?Literally every single game. Is there any point in playing PC Apex at all? Are you doing anything about it? Why is this such an obvious issue with Apex especially when playing mixtape. I thought it was bad over on Overwatch but after coming back to this after a multi year hiatus I'm positively shocked by the sheer quantity that this community is tolerating. It is really bad over on Overwatch but it is MUCH WORSE here. Shocked. [CM - Edited for profanity]

@XHelperZ Man pls just check the sales of Cronus and all the other controllermods. At diamond and upwards you will probably be arround 50% of people having a controllermod or mousemacros etc.Software cheats will be relatively rare because they are very expensive [CM - remove profanity]

@XHelperZ Personally, these comments that you repeat in each post about cheats (there are no cheats there), are common in the counter strike forum where cheat sellers try to control people's opinions.I don't know if it's a coincidence that your account is from 2019 with the release of apex and you're on the forum all the time with this type of comment, although others are helpful.Denying the evidence shows complicity, and part of the problem ("interests").

You're part of the problem. You absolutely are encountering cheaters but are so utterly oblivious you can't tell the difference.It's blatantly obvious to anyone with eyes. I was legitimately interested in coming back to this game, having not played since the first 4 seasons, but jesus christ it is completely unplayable and I do not know how you people are putting up with it or letting this company get away with doing as little as possible about it.Anyway I just uninstalled. Sod this. If you people can deal with like quarter of a lobby being cheaters every round then all power to you but I've got better things to do with my life.

@XHelperZ Just watch some streamers play in Master+ lobbies around the world. The amount of cheaters boosting players is insane, and they're doing little to nothing about it because the situation has not improved at all. I'm fortunate to play on console where it's harder to cheat, but if i was on PC i'd stop playing ranked right away, it's really disgusting.

Personally I'm barely encountering any cheaters at all.
Might depend on the region you play in, as some regions have more cheaters.
Changing the datacenter you play on might make it so you encounter less cheaters.

I'm not denying any evidence, all I'm saying is that it might be better to switch to a different datacenter if it seems like there are a lot of cheaters on a certain server.
I know that a lot of players might jump to the conclusion of "cheating" whilst it's not the case, especially in this game where the matchmaker is functioning far from perfectly.
Even if a single player would be experiencing cheaters a lot, it won't mean that there actually is a large amount of cheaters in the game.
Same applies to me though, if I don't encounter a lot of cheaters then it doesn't mean that there aren't any cheaters at all.
Just like I'm saying the cheating problem is most likely smaller than others expect, you're constantly saying it's a big issue.
Plus this isn't about me, it's more about the cheating issue so it might be better to not derail the topic.

Cheating in apex legends is not a small problem.I don't think EA can even think the same as you.
But I'm not going to bring up the subject anymore.

I would have no way of knowing what their total amount of sales are.
As far I'm aware, it's quite hard to see if someone is using controllermods or mousemacros unless you are spectating then.
With that I'm assuming you're talking about BR then, which in that case it can be relatively common to encounter cheaters as the lobby size is massive compared to other games.
I'd assume software cheats to be more common though, as there are many free ones that can function well enough.
I hope something will be done against the Cronus related things, though note that these are relatively hard to action in this current time.

Based on statistics and/ or the nature of human behavior, one would expect that Apex Legends has about a 25 to 35 percent cheater population. You might think that's quite high, but in general in video games that's about average.

Also, that percentage is an overall estimate, and it would vary depending on the actual definition of what cheating is. So, someone could be cheating without even knowing, just being naive to the fact and/ or continuing to use exploits as they use something to justify the means.

So for example.

A: Someone could be cheating without even knowing because they don't know that recoil scripts are a form of cheating as one example.

B: Would be someone that cheats, but doesn't have empathy, so continues to do it as they don't have guilt.

C: Would be someone that cheats because they justify the means based upon something else they think it's worse. Like someone that feels aim assistance is cheating, so they compensate by using radar hack and/ or something else.

Another issue why cheaters in Apex Legends are high is the means at which they're not stopped.

To the avagere person, someone getting banned reassures their opinion that something is done about the exploit, but in fact that's just basic security theater.

Video games have always had the issue of dealing with security. This doesn't mean it's a personal computer only issue, but all video games in general.

Video games are just lines of code, exploits are nothing different. Basically meaning that whoever is behind the code for the exploited software, is nothing more than a game developer at that point.

So I wouldn't get into the nitty gritty and/ or overall worrying of cheaters in games as it's so common, it's been around since the creation of video games.

Sure some companies handle exploits better, but it isn't like Apex Legends (in terms of cheaters) is any different than Call of Duty for example. Activision sued a cheat developer studio, so that studio released the cheats for free. Call of Duty witnessed an increase of cheaters by 700%.

Any title that features a free two play model will be subject to an overall expectation of exploiters, this goes for all platforms.

Cheating is in the very nature of being human at times. People want what they don't deserve. People will always be there to supply others for compensation.
