Why just why add a legend progression system you have to pay for not free

I don't understand it would bring so many people that love this game to keep playing the game but no you have to try and monetize it like if you made it free more people would stick around and vuy more skins why do you think mobile games make so much money they throw out so many free items all over the place but you can't make a legend progression system that's free just that's craziness
