It IS a new mode. You used to be able to jump all around the venue with those first-season launchers every few meters down the track. But that was too much fun so for season two they took them away. Season two redesigned the mode so that the fastest way from one location to the next was to die. But even that didn't stop the mid-to-long-range objective campers such as myself, so this season they removed all the mid-to-long-range weapons, thus sucking out of the gamemode what last little bit of fun there was. Thanks again, Respawn, for clearly explaining to everyone the "correct" way to play your game.

Okay, I have to take back a little of what I said. There seems to be a longbow and a charge rifle, though neither is guaranteed in every match. And the cr scope (4/10) is impossible to use without being so far away from the action that you completely screw your teammates. So yeah, I'm willing to "play" if I can get that loudout, but the unintended consequence is that encourages me to kill farm instead of play the objective. Which I would probably do anyway, but still why throw gas on that fire, Respawn?

@reconzeroYou can remove the scope from guns or swap them. Not sure what the longer range comes with for a secondary but maybe you can put a scope that works on the long range on that and then swap them in game.
There's a r301 mozzy loadout where they don't let you pick a 2x on the r301 but you can on the mozzy. So I do that and swap while I'm flying through the air.
