The devs say they will monitor it and see about bringing back her power in other ways later, but this is a huge nerf to this legend. Closer inspection of the changes show the hitbox has been extended way beyond the characters animation. At a rough guess the increase in volume is over a third imo. This yt video shows how far outside the character hits will register, they kindly do a before and after. Havn't played yet but imo its been overdone. Are the devs trying to again make me play other characters like pathfinder where I pull myself into walls or Gibraltar where I just insta die? Not going to happen. Guess I'll plod on and if unhappy with the results just go full on creeping in ranked as my lovely Wraith.

@OldTreeCreeperI was a path main then he got butchered, so i switched to wraith but i stopped playing her once horizon came out and got the 20 bomb on her after grinding hard jesus it was something. “ Omg you have a 20 bomb and she just came out”I would hear from randoms which made me smile.now shes been nerfed i expect more and more and more knowing respawn , so will i shift towards another legend?Hell no !! im not falling into respawns ludicrous antics.I’ll just play apex every now and then and just play more War zone, already lost interest in grinding rank.

@OldTreeCreeper They need to keep hitboxes as balanced as they can. Wraith shouldn't be any bigger than the other Low Profile Legends at the moment.

This is ruining the character that we all love, her tactical is only getting harder and harder to use. It’s to the point now with this hitbox increase that a lot of the twitch streamers are going to stop using her. I personally just miss the wraith I once know in season three I don’t really mind all these hit box increases and straighten posture but with that being said combine that with her tactical and it makes her no longer an aggressive character because you can’t poke with her because the moment you try to que you’ll go down. Her portal needs a bufffffff it needs to be able to go further it just not that good for excaling the enemy because by the time you get through it you have very little time and the enimies are already at your door step. Please fix her. Her win rate and pick rate are high because she’s the most fun legend to use in my opinion and I’ve spent hundreds of dollars to get her heirloom adjust to get nerf after nerf. Her tactical ability is the only thing wraith is good for for casual gamers and it needs to be fixed.

@OldTreeCreeper Good change for once. Nerfing a character with 2 get out of jail free cards (one for the team and one for herself) and a warning for traps and third parties deserved it.

@BaldWraithSimp the rationale behind doing so is to increase the % of wins of other legends, both by getting more Wraith mains killed but by getting Wraith mains to shift to another caracter. That's not going to happen, as Wraith main players are not going to shift to another legend.
imo if they increase the size of the hitbox they should have increased the size of the animation too. Seems silly to be hit well outside of the animation.

@BaldWraithSimp you can’t compare her to legends that don’t take extra damage from low profile. Using wraith abilities is so much harder now because by the time I get her phase off I’m already down because she is so easily hit. So everything that made wraith good has been nerfed and she cannot be played aggressively now she has to be play to run away and only use phase when getting shot by snipers or getting through traps.

@BaldWraithSimp Problem is Wraith abilities got nerf for her small hitbox. Time will tell if she needs a bit tweaks on abilities. But I think her Q should act faster now.

@Deliberus her port isn’t a get out of jail free lots of risk involved her pasive isn’t that great compared to gibby’s gun shield or lifelines Rez or caustics ability to breath in other caustic gas And also her tactical ability takes forever to activate so she’s an easy beam when she uses it because she’s easy to hit now due to the hitbox and the amount of time it takes for her tactical to activate. They can make her bigger that is not a problem if it makes people with bad aim he able to hit her I don’t care but her escape abilities went from the best to the worst even octanes jump pad is more viable now

This stuff is, IMO, boring.
So, yes, I agree, people who are taking her are going to keep taking her. Again, you don’t change core problems by making little adjustments, and that’s the problem with fane designers these days. Either don’t change her at all or get a pair and go big.
All broken characters and weapons have the source of their broken-ness in the core game mechanics. In Apex and any shooter, not getting hit is the most important thing, therefore your smallest characters will always be favored. Stack on that another ability as a Tactical that lets them not get hit, a mobility ultimate and finally a solid Emo vibe and yeah nobody should be surprised.
Want to change Wraith? Completely change her tactical ability and then make her stupid looking in game. Otherwise accept it and next time make a character that counters her, rather than making Fuse who counters one OP character and buries a bunch who needed help instead.
