I updated my computer with Windows 11 yesterday and was met with an issue in Apex for the first time ever: after 1-3 games, one of my CPU cores gets stuck at 100% load and doesn't come down until I close the game (and even then with a significant delay, depending on how long I continued to play until I closed the game when the issue happened). As the issue happened immediately following the Win 11 update, I reverted back to Win 10, but now it happened with that one too. I formatted the entire computer, doing a fresh install of the OS and Apex and sadly the issue still persists. This leads me to believe that there might be some issue with the most recent Windows update (11 or 10) and Apex and I was wondering if anyone else has this issue?I haven't been able to reproduce the issue with World of Warcraft or any other game yet.

It has nothing to do with your system its games fault, after one game it forces my 1 core to work on 100% it gets stuck, even after I turn off game and theres no proccess in task manager core still works 100% and steam thinks that game is still running. My 3 friends with different CPU's and systems in general has same issue. Please fix as game is unplayable coz of this.

Exact same behaviour on my system, I have a 5800x for a cpu but it is also the second thread that is stuck at 100% and my CPU temp skyrockets as well.Same issue with not being able to kill the apex process either. It is ridicilious, but it is happening on other games that use Easy anti cheat, like Paladins and Lost Ark (same issues and symptoms those game tasks can't be closed and second thread stuck at 100%)I really hope it is fixed soon!

OMG. I was opting to buy a new CPU until i saw this. Im currently using AMD r5 2600 and gtx 1070ti. I thought my cpu cant handle the intensive workload of 1070ti and apex legends, but as i saw others comment (having an i9 cpu) then i realize that this is indeed Apex problem. It makes one core of the cpu run 100 percent does create micro stutter in game especially in heavy fights. I play pubg but this problem doesnt appear on the game.

So interestingly enough, something had changed last week and this problem did not occur for most of the week at all. However, when I played today, the problem is there again... I don't know what is going on, but it sure is annoying and makes the game unplayable whenever it happens.

So this has AGAIN become an issue for me. Had a break from Apex for about 2 months (was working pretty much fine before that) and now that I came back, one CPU core gets stuck at 100% once again after about 5-10 minutes of playing. Is there any permanent fix to this * still and is anyone else experiencing this? Would be great to play, especially since I just got my first heirloom shards, but there's no way I'm playing it like this. EAC, fix your *.

Since there seems to be no way of directly contacting support, I guess I'll just bump this thread... Any solutions to this problem? I would really like to be able to play the game.

Was hopeful for this issue to be dealt with by the new season start and patch but no.. still the same issue. One CPU core gets stuck at 100% after 5-10 minutes of playing. PLEASE FIX THIS.

Specs; I9 9900k/RTX 3070.

I've had this issue for the longest time (6 months or more).
Tried everything, from reinstalling OS multiple times from windows 11 to windows 10.

This is the only game where this issue comes up on, and sometimes its fine and other times its just there.

i've also tried to set the CPU affinities to certain cores, disabled Hyperthreading, tried different NVIDIA drivers, checked system stability with tenths of different tools.

I literally tried everything, and I am so pissed that it is still not fixed and frametimes are bad because of this.

Next thing I will try is to buy new mobo, CPU, ram etc. There needs to be a way to report the issue...

I've tried through the official channels, but the bug report functionality itself is bugged, and there is no way to report this.

So the problem is with Easy Anti Cheat. EAC was doing the same exact thing on Lost Ark game, devs issued a fix for this however. Does anyone from development team even read this forum? Seems that people on this thread have been complaining about this for a good while and nothing has ever happened..
