apex crashes code snake after crashing i need help

Hi, i was playing apex, i downloaded the game off steam about a month or two ago. I also recently got a new computer however, i was doing fine with the first set of matches no problems, but eventually my game would start lagging, then freezing, completely crashing after that. i relaunch apex it sends me back to the game but then tells me i have apparantly 1200 ping when i did not. it then kicks me out with a server timed out error then comes up with the code snake saying cannot reconnect to forfieted match. I am unsure of what happened to cause this problem. But it is becoming very frequent, I don't know if it is my GPU or if it is the game itself.
