Apex Cross Progression Issues

Hello,

So I used to play this game a ton a few years back on PS4, but quit because I wasn't able to have all of the legends, skins, etc. on PC.

With the announcement of cross progression I redownloaded the game and have been playing through Steam for the past few weeks.

Unfortunately I was unable to link my steam account to my EA ID, where all the progress is, to my Steam account due to it already being linked to my new one. I ended up unlinking my PSN from the EA account with all the progress on it, and switching it to my newer one on Steam.

Is this going to completely screw up the cross progression due to me swapping my PSN to my newer EA ID?

This whole process is massively confusing and definitely should have been explained better. If I somehow have to wait 6 months to relink my PSN to the correct account I will 1000% be deleting the game and never touching it again.
