Apex gifting - missing information

Hello,

Is there any way to make it possible for my friend to gift me even though we haven't been EA-friends for two weeks? There were no information in the gifting tab that you needed to be EA-friends (we have been Playstation friends for years) and I've already payed him and he have already bought Apex Coins.

We could just wait but the problem is that the bundle will be gone by then...
