Hi,I'm experiencing lagging in every single game of Apex Legends that I play. It doesn’t matter what time of day, although it appears to be even worse in the evening. It even lags when I’m not even in a game, when it’s the character on the home page with all the settings. I’ve already gone down the internet route and there is no problems with my connections, my ping or my speed.We've already restored our Xbox to factory settings, it’s already connected with a lead, reloaded the game, we even got a new xbox.. Why is this game lagging so much? It happens with Fifa as well.. Would appreciate some support with this.

@CallyAGP There is only one solution and that is stop playing the game for a while. There have been multiple posts about this problem and ALOT of people have this problem, all EA says is that the consumer has to check THEIR internet on every post. They aint doing nothing about it, while they know damn well that its their servers that are lagging out. I guess they dont have enough people working to fix it due covid or something. Its making me so mad, as a day 1 player and a everyday apex player i cant play since a few days. Always lag and get the red speedometer in the top right corner 9 out of 10 games.

It improved but only slightly in some areas, for example the homepage and when my character drops from the drop ship but the game itself, still lags. I honestly think the fault lies with the EA server and it’s something that EA themselves need to resolve by the looks of it and judging by everyone’s comments as I have no problem playing non EA games, no lag at all with them.

Let me explain something about this game the servers are trash and not region locking them makes them 10x worse. This game is not fully optimized for all internet connections, some people can stand in between two shooters and not take any damage due to the terrible tic-rate of the game, Ping doesn’t matter on Apex as it’s a shooter first game, meaning no matter what if you shot at someone that is 200ms ping and you’re 30ms ping you will always connect to them unless the server drops packets or the delay response to the server causes no regs, simple solution lag more pick a higher ping server

No. Your servers are really that bad.

I'll try to help find out why you're lagging in our games. First, are you on a wired or wireless connection?

Xbox is connected to the hub.. I even brought a lead so the controller didn’t have to be wireless.

That's good your Xbox is on a wired connection. We can rule out issues with wireless. Do you have a PC by chance? If so let’s find out how your connection is reaching our servers. Can you run a UO Trace and screenshot me the results? Instructions are here.

My laptop is wireless.. I cannot connect it to the hub as it doesn’t have a port to do so.

Those results won't be valid then. Since you play wired, you need to run the test wired since there's a big difference between the 2 connections. You might benefit from using alternate DNS servers. From the Xbox One home screen, go to Settings > Network > Advanced settings > DNS settings > Manual. (If Settings doesn't appear on the home screen, select My Games & Apps, then Settings). From there, enter the Primary DNS as "208.67.222.222" and the Secondary DNS as "208.67.220.220". If that doesn't help, try using the google DNS servers which are: primary alt number 8.8.8.8 - secondary alt number 8.8.4.4. Let me know if this makes a difference or not.

I'm glad there's some improvement at least. Have you tried opening the ports for Apex? They are listed here. You can do some internet searching to get some help with opening ports. Let me know if that makes a difference or not. Thanks!
