Apex Legends Black Screen

I have the same problem, but when I start the game, I do not see the logos and the screen goes black. I can hear all the sounds of the game, but no picture. Any solution?

Yes I had that the same before, but after I update the driver and now I see the logos but after I have black screen and the music is playing but nothing more .. 😕😕

No Logos, just a Black Screen + Sound after starting the game.

Updating graphic drivers, reinstalling game, reinstalling origin and verifiying game files did NOT work.

RTX 2070

16 GB Ram

Win 10 64bit

I have the same problem. Running the game in fullscreen results in a black screen, changing to windowed mode (adding -w to the target of the shortcut) makes the game playable though.

Adding -w to the shortcut does not work.

I also tried ALT+ENTER when it was running and it does change from Fullscreen to Windowed or vice versa but its stays black.

When it's minimized and I hover over it I do see the game in the preview window but as soon as I click on it it's just a black screen.

EDIT: Adding -windowed to the shortcut target did work... guess -w wasn't enough...

I am experiencing the exact same issue. The game works in windowed mode as well. going fullscreen doesn't crash the game, but shows a black screen even though I'm still "inside" the game.

My specs:

Microsoft Windows 10 Home

AMD Ryzen 5 2500U

Radeon Vega 8 Mobile Graphics, 2000 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)

8.00 GB RAM

Press "ALT+ENTER" then the game will open in window mode then go to SETTINGS/ VIDEO,

Go to "DISPLAY MODE" and select "BORDERLESS WINDOW" and enjoy.

-windowed launch is working 😃

How did u do that can u explain, my screen werent shohw everything so when ı opened the game ı changed settings to fullscreen, but then ı have to got to school and ı closed the laptop. When ı came back i tried to open it, there was music but  no pic or colour, just black.
