I use DTS spatial sound from the last one year and it is really good for me. recently whenever I start the game it closes the DTS spatial sound enhancement and I have to enable it again, this happened only with the apex legend game. but games( PUBG, GTA V, R6S, Volarant) work perfectly. whenever I start pc and then play apex legend and DTS spatial sound reset. I minimize the game and enable spatial sound to DTS and I close the game ( because the game sound gets malfunction after enabled spatial sound). now if I keep my pc on the whole day and play apex legends any time. DTS spatial sound never gets reset.I think you have understood it. it happened only one time when I start pc and play apex legend game. I have formatted my pc 12 to 15 times even I have removed sync settings from the Microsoft device account. still the same issue.

@IGuruDevI Same thing happens with Dolby Atmos @ Windows 10 2004.

@7empePL yes, fewer people use spatial sound that reason many people have not reported yet in a massive way but it is a real problem. I cant play apex legends without spatial sound. devs need to look into this issue. maybe easy anti-cheat disables spatial sound because if we re-enable spatial sound it works.

Same issue here using Dolby Atmos for Headphones. This is getting so annoying I'm considering dropping the game.Every time I start Apex I can't hear my mates on Discord until I've killed Apex, re-enabled spatial audio, left Discord, rejoined Discord and THEN started Apex up again. Just to play a few games...

@fiskf1sk Are you sure you disabled exlusive access of audio device in windows sound control panel?If you want to reconsider your opinion on spatial audio here's a link where people prefer the default stereo over surround (another game)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzusBm04RSUThe only advice i can give is to use high quality headphones that cup your ears and not earbuds.. I used to use the default stereo implementation in Apex, but the implementation doesn't replicate sounds above/below you as a player as well as the Dolby Atmos implementation does. And I modified settings.cfg specifically to get spatial audio support in Apex.
For some reason Apex decides to change what audio settings I want to use every time I start the game. It's very frustrating when all other games that support surround sound don't do this. They simply just recognize that the machine is able to receive surround sound on 7.1 channels and roll with it with no issues.

Similar problems with THX Saptial Audio, the problem with me is just the spatial audio stop to work with apex, I hear all in 1 channel, only with apex. I lose the EQ, effects and enhancments, all loses, I´ll check if the process crash.

I'm having the same problem. The first time running Apex Legends after restarting my computer, the game will disable spatial sound(DTS Headphone X) and default to stereo. I then have to close Apex, enable spatial sound again manually in windows, then restart Apex. From then on it will work fine. I can close and run Apex as much as I want and it works fine, until I reboot my pc. Then the next time I start Apex it will disable spatial sound again.
I've edited the setting file to have a speaker number of 8. Everything is updated. Also made sure that exclusive access to the sound device was disabled, but the problem persists.
I've watched the video, and done my own tests, and the only way I was able to accurately hear where a sound was coming from was with DTS Headphone X. Everything else was underwhelming.
