Apex legends suttering/freezing every 30 seconds

About every 30-60 seconds the game decides to freeze/stutter about 4 times over 2 seconds. This issue suddenly started happening about 3 months ago and has been going on ever since, every single session. I have tried updating drivers, reinstalling, downloading the game through the EA app (as oppose to steam), clearing download caches etc. I havent changed any compartments in my computer and my internet connection is wired and stable. Ping and packet loss is also stable. When trying to look into this issue I've found multiple posts (like this one: https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Feedback/Lag-every-30-40-seconds-apex-legends/td-p/10495656) but none of the posts actually have a solution/answer. This effectively makes the game unplayable as this pretty much happens at least once per fight and when it happens it renders you unable to do anything for a few seconds.
