Thanks for the info, everyone.
This is something we're currently investigating. In the meantime, I've heard this can sometimes help as a possible workaround:
Sign into a different account on your Xbox, then go to the Accessories menu under Settings. Reassign the controller back to your main account, then restart Apex Legends.
Okay so I tried the switching accounts thing it only works and mean this is the only way it would work for me was if I had two controllers connected at the same time switch the working controller to a guest account then take the one you want to work and then do the same thing switch it to guest let it sit for a second then switch it back your base profile then it should be fine leave both controllers connected log in to apex and then disconnect the secondary controller and hope it doesn’t happen again [CM - removed]

Patching aka Updating the controller software via the XBOX Settings is the ONLY thing that resolved the issue 100% for me.

- Default Controller = issue resolved
- Elite Series 1 = issue resolved
- Elite Series 2 = issue resolved

I'm also having the controller issue. Works everywhere but apex. Sunday at the time of this reply
