BSOD MEMORY_MANAGEMENT every time EA Javelin Anticheat starts - APEX LEGENDS
Issue: Since Apex switched to EA Javelin anticheat, my PC blue screens with MEMORY_MANAGEMENT (0x1A) when the game launches, at the "Starting EA Javelin Anticheat" step. It never happened with the previous Easy Anti-Cheat.
System:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D
- Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING WIFI II
- GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3070
- RAM: 32 GB
- OS: Windows 11
Crash dumps (3 minidumps from Oct 1, 2026, attached):
- Bugcheck: 0x1A (MEMORY_MANAGEMENT)
- Parameter 1 is identical in all three: 0x4477
- Parameter 2 varies: 0x18e0a700, 0x5aeaa700, 0x1692a700
- eaanticheat.sys appears in the dump, along with EAAntiCheat.GameServiceLauncher.exe from the Apex install folder
Other games work fine: I play Valorant, Warzone, Fortnite and Overwatch (all with kernel-level anticheats) with no crashes or BSODs. Only Apex crashes.
What I already tried (no change):
- Uninstalled and reinstalled EA Javelin via EAAntiCheat.Installer.exe
- Closed all background and monitoring software
- Uninstalled Riot Vanguard (vgk.sys no longer appears in the latest dump)
- Memory Integrity / HVCI is off
- Increased the Windows paging file [confirm: from 2 GB to 16-32 GB]
- [Windows / BIOS / chipset / NVIDIA updates: done]
Since the same bugcheck code and Parameter 1 repeat across three crashes and no other game is affected, this looks specific to Javelin on my system. Could the team look into the attached dumps?
