I fixed this! I went into my router's advanced settings and turned on port-triggering (not forwarding). See screens:

I cant play with my son. We can please on the same modem if we are not grouped but as soon as we group one of us get disconnected before the character select screen.

This is crazy, this game has been out for about 9 months. Please fix this EA/Respawn!
