Client is not running the anti-cheat, or failed the anti-cheat authentication

Sorry to hear that the game hasn't been running due to an error. 

If you haven't already, please give the following troubleshooting steps a try: 

• Verify game files on Steam
• Check if Windows, drivers, and other software are up to date
• Make sure all EA and Steam-related .exe files are exceptions to anti-virus software and Windows Defender 
• Close all potentially conflicting background applications 
• Disable overlays 
• Repair Apex Legends and Easy Anti-cheat
• Clean boot your device
