Cross Plat Lobby Game Chat Not Working

Can not hear friends in cross plat chat lobby. I am trying to play with a friend who is on ps4 i am on xbox. but i can not hear him in the lobby. it shows his mic, that he is speaking, but i can not...

An update went out today meant to address issue's that recently were reported, can you confirm if this is still happening?

    @PistolSkin Yesterday when I was in my PC lobby with a console player the in game chat would not work. I later joined a console player in their lobby and the in game chat started working again.
