EA-APP login to APEX cannot be accessed, but changing the account can be done.

My account cannot log in to the game unless I switch to another EA account to directly enter and play normally, so it must be due to abnormal data in this account. It's strange that the issue has not been resolved since January 7th, but after checking the account, there haven't been any problems. I just can't play APEX unless I change my account. I have already missed the prestigious skin event of APEX, and the recharge activity for APEX anniversary celebration is about to begin. I don't want to miss this event because it is very important for us APEX players. So I really hope to get help. I guess it could also be due to not playing APEX in 2023-2025 causing data abnormalities, or it could be due to a strange BAN in the EA-DATA account causing account abnormalities. However, no matter what the problem is, it ultimately prevents me from using this account to enter APEX and can only log in to EA-APP.

All possible methods have been tried, including redoing the WIN10 system, downloading and installing APEX again, resetting account passwords, restoring the initial registered email, changing network nodes, and so on. All methods have been tried every day during the communication with the consultant on January 7th regarding this issue, but no solution has been found.

Of course, when I tried to log in using Steam, I found that my account had become a Level 1 initial account. Based on my understanding, it should be due to my EA account not being logged in for a long time, which caused the failure to obtain Steam data. Of course, I also provided pictures of my Steam login, hoping it would be helpful.(3.jpg\2.jpg\6.jpg\14.jpg)

  • sopoo5201 Based on what I could tell after looking over the files you had shared, (which I did remove these files from your post as those had contained your personal information, (such as your email and IP address)), it seems like the issue was caused by having a ban prior to Cross Progression, (which Cross Progression was rolled out to players between October of 2023 and April of 2024), where any banned account was excluded from the Cross Progression merge.

In short, since you had been, (or was), banned prior to Cross Progression hitting your EA Account, your Apex progress and data for that account was excluded from the Cross Progression merge.

To clarify this part, prior to Cross Progression rolling out to all players, Steam was already able to access the same Apex progress and data as the EA Account, (which is stored on the EA Account itself), so when the EA Account had its Apex progress and data excluded from the Cross Progression merge, that had also caused Steam to lost access to the Apex progress and data as well, (which is why you are level 1 on Steam).

That being said, I'm guessing what is happening right now is that your EA Account is trying to load back into the state it was in prior to Cross Progression, (however since it is unable to, it is getting stuck on the loading screen), while your Steam Account sees that there is no Apex progress and data on the EA Account, and thus it had started a new one.

You could reach back out to EA Support to see if they could get the EA Account to load, (however EA Support won't be able to restore your Apex progress and data, as that was deleted after the Cross Progression merge had taken place on your account(s)).

Note: I do not work for EA or for Respawn, (and I had also deleted your shared files from my end as well). Furthermore, I do recommend that you follow this guide here: EA Help | What to do if your EA Account was hacked, as I did notice in the files that you had shared that there were abnormal logins from across the US and China, (which seems to suggest that your EA Account had been compromised for a while as these logins were showing up as early as September of 2022, and as late as January of 2026). Even if you already know that your EA Account is secure, changing your EA Account's password and enabling 2-Step Verification, (if it is not on already), is always a good idea to help secure your EA Account.

OK, Thank you for your help. I have also contacted the official consultant through help.ea.com and confirmed that this issue is causing me to be unable to log in to the game. But it still hasn't been resolved because it can only attract attention here and the official update of this content is necessary. It's unclear whether it can be resolved during the APEX anniversary celebration, otherwise I will miss this major event, which is very important to me.

The following is the response received after communicating with the official customer service. We hope that the official personnel can pay attention to this issue.

Unfortunately you are ineligible for cross-progress feature Because your account was banned before the feature launched, it was officially excluded from the merge process. When you attempt to log in now, the game may be attempting to initialize data that no longer "exists" in the current unified database, resulting in the infinite loading screen

Apex Legends progress is now stored at the unified EA account level. Since banned accounts were ineligible for the merge, your specific platform data was never "migrated" to the new system.

If your account was banned before the cross-progression feature launched, its data (skins, levels, currency) was not transferred or unified.

he infinite loading screen often happens because the game client is attempting to sync with a progression profile that the server has flagged as "ineligible" or "not merged" due to the ban.

Unfortunately, We cannot manually merge data from or bypass the automated exclusion

Because your account was banned during the initial Cross-Progression rollout, it was flagged as "ineligible," and its data was not processed into the new unified system. Now that you are unbanned, the game client is attempting to load a profile that still hasn't been "activated" or merged into the current framework.

I would request you to please post the concern on this link https://forums.ea.com/category/ea-forums-en For any further updates on this.

Our in-game team is actively gathering feedback from community forums and exploring possible solutions. If they determine that the issue affects a significant number of players and can be addressed technically through a patch or workaround, they will take appropriate action. For now, I’ve documented your report in detail and forwarded it to the concerned department for further investigation. We hope that the next update will include the necessary improvements.

Also you can find the below link and can upvote the issue if you find any other player has also reported the same issue"

As player I can understand your situation but unfortunately it is out of my hand.

The best I would suggest you please wait for the update from the end.

So, there is currently no solution available?

    Unfortunately No.

May I ask if anyone can help me solve this problem? I really want to participate in APEX's anniversary celebration, which is very important to me because it will have a retrospective of previous years' anniversary celebrations, allowing me to participate in all the anniversary celebrations that I have not participated in before at once. If I miss this anniversary celebration, I will have to wait for a year, so I sincerely want to seek help. in anticipation of.

sopoo5201 It sounds like since your EA Account was excluded from the Cross Progression merge, it became ineligible from being able to play the game as well.

If it did become ineligible from being able to play the game, you would need to either play the game from a connected platform account that still has access to play, (such as your Steam Account), or play from a newly created EA Account in order to be able to participate in the upcoming event.

No, I am using a bundled STEAM account, which is a Level 1 initial account. My participation in activities is only a Level 1 account, not a 2021 account. Firstly, the sense of achievement in collecting items is lost because the skin props do not belong to one account. Secondly, I do not play on STEAM because it is a new account created by myself. Once I unbind or merge my EA or data, this account will no longer exist and will be temporary. So what I need is to patiently wait for the official repair of this channel, so that those who have not merged data can apply for data merging or activation. Only in this way, when others encounter this problem, it will be automatically fixed instead of being at a loss like me.

In fact, there is a very obvious key issue here, which is that only players who truly love APEX and want to return to play with good friends will encounter this problem.

Of course, there must be two issues involved, 1. EA prohibits receiving information from《 [edit: email address removed] 》Appeal and communication regarding the account, resulting in players having to change their email address (only after the revamp of HELP.a.com); After the account was banned, most of the appeals for recovery did not exist immediately because of the inability to communicate, resulting in the inability to play. However, now that HELP.a.com has been revamped, it can be considered a true fix to this issue. 3. Accounts that were banned before data consolidation have the authority to communicate with EA customer service and appeal in order to be unbanned, and then begin to face this issue.

OK, Based on the above situation, it is not difficult to see what kind of player would choose to not forget APEX after many years? This is not just about the value of the account, but also the meaning of the account, which includes the years of youth.

So, this is a problem that will definitely be fixed, it's just a matter of time.

However, the most crucial and core issue is that there are so many gaming industries now, why wait for a heartbreaking APEX alone? So, this is also the main reason why many people choose not to communicate or play.

Of course, there must be some good people who say that if your account is not banned, then everything will be fine. You're right, but do players have to bear the consequences of racial discrimination, unauthorized mandatory bans, server issues bans, and so on? Historical issues will no longer be pursued, they are not important.

Hope to fix this issue as soon as possible.

Because this is something that the authorities have not considered either.
