Engine Error: could not read signature for pak

Hello community,

i have installed Apex Legends with Steam and now i 'm facing the following error:

Engine Error

Could not read signature for pak

C:\Users\myUser\SAVEDG~1/Respawn/Apex/assets/s2/store/dl_store_atfc_mltnemote_j0m3.rpak

Usualy errors like this could be solfed by deleting the affected file and rebuilding it with Steam's file-check.

But for me the Steams file-check does not find any problems with my files after i deleted it.

My Apex files are usualy located at "D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Apex Legends\" (not on the c:\ drive).

Even a reinstall of Apex Legends did not solve this error jet

pls help me

    Hey @alpha_name007,

    Can you please try to go to the file location: C:\Users\myUser\SAVEDG~1/Respawn/Apex/assets/s2/store/dl_store_atfc_mltnemote_j0m3.rpak, rename the file or move it somewhere else, then reinstall the game.

    Hopefully that will sort the problem.

    I tried to move it and also tried to rename it that didn't work still is giving me that error message
