Deleting that .SYS file does not work for me. I still receive the same error message and Apex Legends will not launch. I have done extensive uninstallation, reinstallation, CCleaner running, virus scanning, and everything else I can think of and I have read online. Is anyone else still having this issue?

I have the same issue, deleting the .sys file just makes it come back when i launch the game and the error still exists.

The point of deleting that file is for the application to recreate it. In the past, that file has become corrupt, and thus the past fixes were to delete it and let it be re-created. However, this issue is not apparently the same with Apex. When I spoke with Tech Support, they continued to tell me that it's likely the fact that my computer specs are below the minimum system requirements they have listed. That may be the case, but it's strange that Easy AntiCheat is throwing that error message instead of the Apex Legends application throwing a more helpful error message to elude to my system specs.

I had this issue today and I discovered the root cause. My antivirus (Kasperski) was running a rootkit scan while this happened. So, I decided to wait for the scan to finish assuming it was the antivirus preventing the game to execute and create the temp files it needs (The anticheat specifically), and it was it. Once the antivirus finished I was able to start the game without issues, no need for a PC restart or nothing alike.
