Error Code Tap

This issue has been occurring on my system ever since the launch of season 31. It exclusively occurs when trying to connect to a ranked match server. I queue for a game, begin connecting, get a black screen, and then the error code "tap." I then have to re login, and queue again.

It is not a constant issue. I can go an hour or more without seeing the issue. When it does occur, it will affect anywhere between 50-95% of queued games. This issue can continue for well over an hour. This frequency of error gives me cause to stop playing. I mean this error increases queue times by like 10-50x.

Win 11  Version 10.0.26200.

I can provide more system info if needed.

    I'm playing on xbox and Ive tried everything. Cant play more than 1 match without crashing. Had to switch to smurf acc only to experience this issue there too in every match

    Sorry to hear you’ve been running into code: Tap so frequently since the start of Season 31. I can understand how disruptive this is when it repeatedly prevents you from getting into Ranked matches.

    Since the issue appears to happen specifically while connecting to Ranked servers, please try the following:

    • Restart Apex Legends and your PC.
    • Verify the integrity of your Apex Legends game files.
    • Try switching to a different Data Center from the title screen.
    • Temporarily disable any VPN or unnecessary background network applications.
    • If possible, test a few matches on another network to see whether the same issue occurs.
