Hi all, After a small patch of 450 MB today via steam, Apex is crashing after 1 minute after launch. It doesn’t matter if I’m in the menu, firing range or in a game it crashes to desktop regardless. No errors just a 1-2 seconds freeze and it’s gone, same thing as Alt F4 and it’s happening consistently after 1 minute prior to launch. I was playing yesterday without any issues and have never gotten these type of crashes. Nothing has been done to my OS since yesterday.Specs: Intel Core i7 8700K Nvidia GeForce 1080 TI 64 Gb DDR4 2800 mhz OS version: WIN 10 21H1 build 19043, 1826.Steps done: Followed troubleshooting steps in this post Running all video settings on low. Verified game files via steam. Reinstalled the game Removed my user folder located in users/respawn/apex.Configured priority for EasyAntiCheat to low via task manager.Performed clean install of my GPU drivers using DDU. Uninstalled MSI Afterburner, no overclocking is active. Used system file checker tool in windows just in case via command, sfc /scannow Uninstalled all Visual C++ Redistributable Packages.Any suggestions why this is happening and solve it? Not sure if this issue is related to my system or just a annoying patch which causes this.

The game launches, I can load into a match or the range (if I'm quick), but within the first 30 seconds or less the audio stutters and/or the screen freezes and then the game crashes, no error code. It also crashes if I sit in the lobby or even just sit on the splash screen (before connecting to the server).I updated NVIDIA drivers (after the crashes started not before), restarted, verified files, repaired the anticheat, set the anticheat to low, reinstalled, have Apex adding as an exception to WIndows firewall, turned off Steam overlays, ran chkdsk on the drive (no issues), launched from the .exe as administrator, and tried not allowing Windows to manage the pagefile automatically. And it still crashes.Just started today; no problem playing yesterday.

It seems that there are two main issues caused by this same problem. 1) Crashing out, and 2) Getting into the game but the game stuttering severely when the mouse is moved. It seems that these problems have occurred in the last few days since the small update was released. From what I've read, it does not seem to be related to what OS you have, what updates etc.I run Apex out of Origin. I have Windows 7 currently. I have tried installing the windows updates recommended: KB4534310 and KB4534314. I am not going to update to Windows 10 right now as I'm not believing that is required. I have tried excluding Apex, Origin, and EasyAntiCheat folders and executables from my Norton Antivirus. I have also tried repairing EasyAntiCheat. Rebooted my machine several times, including my router. I have played Apex since it was released 3 years ago, with very few problems. I only have about 3500 hrs played, but still play almost every day and have sunk money into this game. I can get into the game and into a match, but I get the problem where moving my mouse causes the game to stutter severely, and is unplayable. I see the stutter in a match and also in the Firing range and Training range. I even see it in the front end lobby where I can move my mouse and the chosen legend pauses and stutters, the effects in the front end pause and stutter, etc.This is really unacceptable. I'm curious how widespread this stuttering and crashing is. Those experiencing it have no recourse now and are stuck not being able to play. I hope the issue is widespread enough so that EA can't just say "too bad for you.....we have hundreds of thousands of other players that aren't experiencing this issue". Please help us EA!

Yup.I've done everything to make this damn game work. Updated to the most recent patch today with the release of the season 14, and the game still crashes for me after being up for a bit. So, let me tell my story.The Problem: Apex Legends crashes 55 seconds after game launchYes, the game crashes precisely 55 seconds after the game launch. Time measured starts the after the EAC splash screen, the moment the game enters exclusive full screen mode. No matter what I do, once the game has launched it will crash 55 seconds precisely afterwards. Be it on the login page, the lobby, the firing range, it doesn't matter *what* I'm doing when it crashes, it just will. Always 55 seconds after game launch, as measured by me well over 20 times now.What I've Done To Resolve This Issue (In Rough Order Steps Were Taken)1) Verified the integrity of the game files (Steam); all files verified, no problems. Game crashes after 55 seconds.2) Deleted Apex Legends and downloaded it again. Game crashes after 55 seconds.3) Deleted my config file (video settings, input settings, etc) game crashes after 55 seconds. 4) Reinstalled my graphics drivers (Nvidia). Game still crashes after 55 seconds.5) Uninstalled my graphics drivers, restarted my computer, installed my graphics drivers, restarted my computer. Game crashes after 55 seconds.6) At this point, I did a buch of other small things but this was 3 days ago and I don't remember, so onto step 77) Wiped windows (completely, from scratch) and installed a fresh install of Windows 10. Downloaded Apex Legends, launched game. Game did *not* crash after 55 seconds. Wowza!8) Downloaded msi afterburner, rivatuner statiscs server, soundpad, and voicemod. Installed those applications, restarted computer.9) Launched Apex, game crashes after 55 seconds10) Uninstalled each of the individual programs listed here one by one, launching Apex each time. Nothing changed, game crashes after 55 seconds.11) Restarted computer, launched Apex Legends on a machine that has NOTHING but the default windows utilities installed and STEAM. Game crashes after 55 seconds.12) Did the very dangrous very stupid thing that people here were suggesting because it was a fresh install and I have nothing to lose; moved random driver files within the System32 folder somewhere else. Game works! Doesn't crash after 55 seconds! Wowza! I play Apex Legends for around two days happy that I can play my favorite game again despite the sheer amount of crap I had to deal with to get here. Do you all think it's reasonable to expect your end users to do all of this? Do you really?13) Power goes out at my house yesterday, 8/8/22. Forcing the computer to turn off for the first time since the game successfully worked during Step 12. Game now crashes after 55 seconds again.14) I do all of the steps from 1-12 over again. Game crashes before reaching the lobby, but STILL crashes 55 seconds after the game launched.18) Put GPU back in, game crashes after 55 seconds.19) Update to Apex Legends Season 14 Hunted. Game crashes after 55 seconds.So that's that. I've wasted at this point well over eight hours of my life attempting to fix an issue taking steps so drastic that no sane person should be expected to take for ONE game that's not working properly. Respawn, please fix.Minor Update:I have since wiped Windows 11 and reinstalled it from scratch all over again, and the game still crashes after 55 seconds. I beg someone at Respawn to please take notice of this issue and to at least say that it's something on your radar that you're aware of.

Hello everyone, I've just finished downloading Apex on Steam and ran into this "r5apex.exe - Application Error (0xc0000005)" message. I've tried running compatibility tests, verified game files, and repaired AntiCheat, but to no avail. I've also made Apex an exception in Windows Firewall, and in my antivirus, but still won't work. I'm running on Win10, and all my drivers are up to date.

Hey @Shummy66,

This error is generally tied to another program or process interfering with the game.

Making sure you've added the game as an exception in both Windows Firewall and your antivirus is typically the best bet, however since that doesn't seem to have done the trick in this case it may be worth a full clean boot of your system.

That should let you try running this without any other unnecessary processes in the background to help narrow down what may be causing the issue.

Your PC will be toast if you keep opening it. Your computer can't handle it. Use a cloud gaming program.

Go to your main Apex Directory, then proceed to the Crashpad folder and then the db folder.
If correct, there should be some recent .dmp files.
I could read these for you using some software, you'll have to put them in an .rar archive and attach it to your post:
That way we can check what else could be causing this issue.
Also whenever this issue happens, do you hear any beeps?
Does your cursor lag or are you still able to move it without any lag?
It's also recommended to attach a DxDiag to your post, that way we can look at your hardware and recent errors that would also indicate other causes.

A few days ago there was a small updated, and my game stopped working. I was getting the "Your Windows 7 system is too outdated. Please install KB4534310." error. The next day the game started working again without me doing anything.
Yesterday I downloaded another update and game stopped working again with the same error. For some reason I am unable to install this particular windows updated - it gives me an error.

There was an update a few days ago, however this was rolled back, and was re-updated yesterday. As this update was related to security it's likely that it has KB4534310 as a required update.

So in this case it sounds like you'll need to get the system updated in order for Apex to run going forward.

We're not experts in Windows Security updates, but what error do you get when you try to accept that update? You may want to try running the System File Checker for issues leading to the update being blocked.
