Same thing here, my locale and language are Finnish, everything should be English by default.
I had the same problem in some other game, I don't remember which one.
Changing your location or locale to English seems to help, but I don't want to do that.

My locale is set to Belgium and it's german for me also... Please fix this :-(

I live in the netherlands and it also defaults my language to german. I have changed my location and language to UK and it is still german. I have restarted my Xbox multiple times and have restarted the game multiple times, it doesn’t change it

I can confirm that this doesnt work as well. Changed language and restarted my xbox two times and it still in German. 😣
- Worked. Make sure you change every setting to english not just language. Then when you relaunch Apex you will have the choice of downloading the english resource pack for 800-900mb. And then its fine. Quick temporary fix. You can change languahe back after downloading that pack!
So that's why it didn't do anything. I changed only locale, noting else.
I ended uninstalling and installing again and it did the trick.
...Would've liked the smaller download, though.

Same thing here in Finland. Everything is in German and
the workarounds are not triggering any downloads.
