Hello EA Team and Community,
I was playing the new Cyberpunk event mode when my account was suddenly banned mid‑game. During the match, I used the dash mechanic several times (which is part of the mode’s design).
Immediately after I was able to escape and secure a kill, I received a permanent ban notice. I strongly believe this was a mistake and possibly linked to the dash mechanic being misinterpreted by the anti‑cheat system.
I want to highlight:
This feels extremely unfair, as I was simply using the event’s mechanics as intended. I know moderators often suggest submitting an appeal, and I have already done so (and still waiting for a response or a review). However, it is frustrating to potentially lose years of progress and purchases due to what seems like a false flag 😭.
I would also like to formally report this as a possible bug: the dash mechanic in the Cyberpunk event may be incorrectly triggering bans.
I'm willing to provide full access to my account data and system information. I respectfully demand a thorough review of my profile and match logs to confirm that I was not involved in any activity that could justify a permanent ban.

I want to provide an update regarding my situation. I submitted an appeal to EA Help, but unfortunately the response I received stated that the penalty “was applied correctly” and my permanent ban will remain in place.
I still believe this is a false flag triggered by the dash mechanic in the Cyberpunk event, as I was only using in‑game features as intended. My account has never had any penalties before, and I have invested years of playtime and purchases into Apex Legends.
Its feel so unfair, and the fact that I can't do anything or talk to anyone makes this so sad. I'm really disappointed in this game, and despite supporting it for years, such a way to pay back 😭.
If anyone else has faced the same issue, please reply here so our voices can be heard.

I want to provide a final update on my case.
After three appeal submissions, my permanent ban was finally removed👏.
EA confirmed that my concerns were valid and justified, and they assured me steps will be taken to prevent this in the future.
I’ll be honest; after EA support told me through the live chat that only the TOS team could handle this and seeing so many similar cases ignored, I lost hope. I even downloaded my EA data and attached login history and system files to prove there was no suspicious activity.
It was frustrating to feel unheard, but persistence paid off.
For anyone facing the same issue, here are the things I included in my appeals that I believe helped:
It was deeply disappointing to be treated like a cheater after such loyalty, but persistence worked.
I’m relieved my account was restored, and I truly hope others affected will also get fair reviews 🙏.
Loyal players deserve to be treated with respect, not like criminals. Please don’t give up; keep appealing, provide evidence, and make your voice heard.

Did you submit all of yours appeals through “My ban history” or did you also contact EA Live Chat or create new separate case? 2.Did you attach your EA account data and system screenshots directly to an appeal, or in separate case? I’m in very similar position with permanent Gameplay Enhancement ban in Apex legends, so any advice would really help! Thank you!
Hi this is exactly what happened to me i was playing some of the cyberpunk event when I had some downtime at work and boom suddenly permanently banned, 7 years of apex 4 mythic and an account that ive posted years worth of content from completely gone over a false flag.
You dont get human replies from the ToS team and im already on my 4th appeal. With the amount of people saying the same thing they have to know this is an issue but refuse to look into it properly as they believe their anticheat system is flawless yet we have people with xim-zen-titan and soft aim running around getting pred every season. Kind of makes you think this is some kind of ploy to get people to make new accounts and re purchase the same items you previously had. I honestly dont believe that but you start to think anythings true when something like this happens and not a single person in the company actively makes a way to assist.
