How to get help with Apex Legends account bans and suspensions

Hey Legends,

Is a locked, suspended, or banned EA Account keeping you from accessing Apex Legends? If your thread has been merged here, the information below covers the next steps, including how to check your account status and request a review if you believe the action was applied incorrectly.

Please keep in mind that we cannot review, change, or remove account actions here on the forums.

Not sure where to start?

  • Sign in to the correct EA Account. If you play on multiple platforms or have more than one EA Account, make sure you're checking the account linked to the platform you use for Apex Legends.
  • Check your EA Account email address for details on the action. We may email you from [email protected] regarding any account action, so be sure it's not being filtered to any spam or junk folders.
  • Check the penalty history tool to see whether your account has an active suspension or ban, along with any available details about the action.
  • Review our Rules of Conduct and Positive Play Charter to better understand the reason an account action may have been issued.
  • If your account is locked rather than suspended or banned, check the account recovery steps first before attempting to submit an appeal.

Ready to request a review?

  • If you believe the account action was applied incorrectly, visit the Penalty History page and select the action you'd like to appeal, then follow the on-screen instructions to submit the request.
  • If you don't see the action you want to appeal and have confirmed you're signed into the correct EA Account, check out this EA Help article to review additional details and submit an appeal.

What happens next?

  • After creating an appeal you can expect a response from [email protected], or keep an eye on your Case History page for a response once the team has completed their investigation.
  • Each appeal is reviewed by a member of EA's Terms of Service team before a decision is made. While the response you receive may use standard wording, every appeal receives a manual review.
  • If you're no longer able to submit another appeal through the Penalty History page, you've reached the maximum number of reviews available for that action. At that point, the decision is considered final.

If your situation isn't covered above, you'll find additional information and answers to common questions in the EA Help article below.

  • Hello EA Team and Community,

I was playing the new Cyberpunk event mode when my account was suddenly banned mid‑game. During the match, I used the dash mechanic several times (which is part of the mode’s design).

Immediately after I was able to escape and secure a kill, I received a permanent ban notice. I strongly believe this was a mistake and possibly linked to the dash mechanic being misinterpreted by the anti‑cheat system.

    I want to highlight:

    • I have been playing Apex Legends since launch.
    • My account is very old, with no penalties or violations in its entire history.
    • I have invested significant time and money into the game (crafting materials, Apex Packs, Apex Coins).
    • I have never used cheats, exploits, or third‑party software.

This feels extremely unfair, as I was simply using the event’s mechanics as intended. I know moderators often suggest submitting an appeal, and I have already done so (and still waiting for a response or a review). However, it is frustrating to potentially lose years of progress and purchases due to what seems like a false flag 😭.

I would also like to formally report this as a possible bug: the dash mechanic in the Cyberpunk event may be incorrectly triggering bans.

I'm willing to provide full access to my account data and system information. I respectfully demand a thorough review of my profile and match logs to confirm that I was not involved in any activity that could justify a permanent ban.

If you faced this same issue, please post here, and let our voice be heard.

Thank you for your time and attention.

I hope this issue can be investigated and resolved quickly, not only for me but to prevent other loyal players from experiencing the same problem.

  • Ive been playing apex since first week back in 2019, I played console for 3 years and swapped to PC, then merged my account over when merging became a thing. My account got hacked back in february of last year and was banned not shortly after due to "Gamplay enhancements" back in march of 2025 I was able to gain access back to my account and it was denied. Set up 2FA this year to try to see if i can get my account back because throughout the years ive spent roughly over 1700 dollars on apex through the years is there ANY way for me to get my account unbanned. I've Showed screenshots of multiple screenshots that my account was compemised and still nothing denied every single time @APEXDEV please HELP!!

  • The appeal has been responded to in a template style, with no real person to review the account, and the number of appeals is limited. The email has been maliciously blocked, resulting in the inability to contact customer service. Customer service has also been repeating the process through human-machine interaction. An account that has been playing for 6 years, recharged thousands of dollars to purchase heirloom, I did not use any ways to enhance the game, nor did I use any bugs. Your ban is unjustified. You have not told me why you were banned, but only received your decision to maintain the original plan. This is very unfair to me. I hope to verify carefully and lift the ban on my account

This is unacceptable. EA Support helped me recover my hacked account, then banned me because of the hacker’s actions. Now they send this automated refusal without even checking the logs! You are punishing the victim.

The same thing happened to me on June 24, 2026.

I was permanently banned for "Gameplay Enhancement" despite never knowingly using cheats, hacks, scripts, macros, or any software to gain an unfair advantage. I had over 928 hours in Apex Legends, purchased multiple Battle Passes and had just obtained my first Heirloom a week before the ban. Losing the account was devastating.

I've submitted multiple appeals, but each one has been denied with the same response. I also discovered suspicious logins on my Steam account from several countries outside Malaysia before the ban. I immediately changed all my passwords, enabled Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator, and reinstalled Windows as a precaution, but EA still upheld the ban.

I'm still hoping for a proper manual review because I genuinely don't understand what triggered the "Gameplay Enhancement" detection.
