Thanks YoshiDaDragon, that seems to have provided the answer.
At the time of YoshiDaDragon replying the information on the link provided explains that there will be cross platform available but not cross progress, so progress for each platform stays on each platform. This is a bit of a shame as myself and I am sure other gamers would use both platforms, but this decision I am sure has many reasons behind it.
It says u can’t have cross progression between two different platforms, but how can you transfer from one PSN account to another PSN account or one Xbox account to another Xbox account
