Is Steam Input Gyro mapped to Right Stick for Aim Assist cheating?
Hello, I would like to get an official clarification regarding Gyro controls on PC.
As we know, the native Gyro aim on the Nintendo Switch version has NO aim assist applied to it. However, on PC, many players are using Steam Input to map their controller's Gyro to the "Right Stick". By doing this, the game believes the player is using a regular analog stick, granting full rotational aim assist to the Gyro's mouse-like precision.
This is fundamentally the same mechanic as spoofing devices like XIM or Cronus, taking advantage of the system to get aim assist on an input that shouldn't have it. Furthermore, we know that using Steam Input to alter controls is banned in ALGS.
My question is: Is mapping Gyro to the Right Stick to gain Aim Assist officially allowed in regular matchmaking (Ranked/Pubs)? Or is it recognized as an exploit/cheating?
Some players claim "EA allowed it," but without an official public statement, the community is confused. We would deeply appreciate a clear answer from the team. Thank you.
