Issues with linked and unlinked accounts.

I got Apex for xbox and finally found out how to do cross-progression. Honestly after the past couple of seasons I gave up on this game and came back because why not. Anyway, I HAD a PSN account still have access to the log in and everything. I unlinked the PSN so I can link to XBOX and nothing. It says it's still linked to the email and so on. I followed everything needed to unlink and still nothing. If I'm SOL then great... if anybody could help me link the 2 on my xbox EA that would be fantastic.

Hey @A3ONFluXxX,

Unlinking an account does not enable cross progression, I'm afraid. Cross Progression is already active on all EA accounts at this point.

Progress is stored on the EA account level, not on individual platforms like PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, etc. This means if you link your platform to a different EA account, you'll lose access to that progress.

This would be why unlinking your PSN only resulted in the lost progress. You'll need to re-link the PSN back to its original EA account to try recovering access to that progress. It is not possible to transfer progress between separate EA accounts I'm afraid.

So how is this "cross-progression" I couldn't use a SONY PSN email for a MICROSOFT account. They had to be separate. The entire point was so that you could it linking it by email. Which I have access to BOTH emails and accounts on both consoles. So basically I'm sol simply because I couldn't use the same email for a different console? WTF LMAO no wonder this game is dying simple bs like this.
Thanks for nothing then....glad i could give you 3 years worth of my.money I'll NEVER get back.

Hi @A3ONG3N3S1S,

All platforms are linked to an EA account, so you don't have a Sony email and a Microsoft email determining your Apex progress - you have PSN and Xbox accounts that are linked to EA accounts.

Cross Progression means you'd be able to access the content on an EA account with each platform linked to that same EA account.

If your Xbox and PSN accounts were linked to different EA accounts rather than the same one however, then no, you wouldn't be able to take advantage of Cross Progression to combine two entirely different accounts unfortunately.

If you had linked them to the same EA account the first time you launched Apex or another EA title on each, then you'd have access to that content on both.
