I might as well weigh in and also say that I received a ban that I discovered yesterday when trying to hop into a game. I have been playing every day this last week because I just got back into a game and finally found out that I was banned yesterday. I only just received the email notifying me about it 3 hours ago which is quite the delay. I've never cheated on apex and tried to contact EA support in order to get an unban but I thought I'd weigh in for the hopes that this gets fixed soon.

My launch options were "MANGOHUD=1 MESA_NO_ERROR=1 %command%" and I've only tried dx12 beta a month or two ago once.
What a frustrating day as I've been playing this game perfectly on linux on and off for close to a year now with no issues... And like everyone else, we never intentionally bypassed and knew the risks. We were just playing what was supposed to be officially supported to play
Also, I recommend all people in the forum to post a notice on valve's proton github here: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/4350 if you have a github account. I will be doing this now and ask you all to do the same in the hope valve spots it and directly contacts respawn about it.
In fact there's a lot of Chinese players were banned yesterday,about half of them just play in the Chinese internet cafe.But Im playing in the Eu,I just update the game after 5-month-afk and play 2 fast game(lose fast) and get banned XDDD UNTILL now I haven't get a mail about the ban
