I just plugged it in and checked, and it says it is up to date. I checked apex just in case, and it still doesn't detect that I have a mic in-game chat. Also, I don't know if this helps. If I am in a party chat with my friends when the screen goes black after you select a legend and loading into the game, it shows my gamer tag with a mic and whoever is playing with me at the party. So it is like the game recognizes that but won't pick up the mic when I am in actual game chat.
Got it, thanks!
Does this only happen when you're in a party? If you join a game without being in a party does it pick up your mic?

So I just attempted to check this by loading into a game and my mic worked in the legend select screen for the first time in a long time but not in the lobby or in the actual game. I also still couldn't hear anyone else who was talking.

Hmm, gotcha. That's definitely strange.
Can you try something else for me? What happens if you remove and re-add your Xbox Gamertag to your Xbox? I've seen some cases where that can help with similar issues, so I'm curious if it would make a difference here as well.
For more information on how to remove it check out the Xbox Support website. Once it has been removed you can then log back into your account to re-add it to the console. Let me know if that helps. Thanks again!/Kent

So I did that and reinstalled the game and everything from before, and now the mic is working in-game chat, but it is super laggy or chun ked up. Like no one can understand me or barely, and I can barely understand them. It works fine in party chat still and on other games.
