Mic/Audio difficulties

Audio issue. (PC) 

Using a Corsair Void headset, practically brand new.  excellent voice quality before Apex.   4 out of 5 squads tell me i sound like a robot or that im underwater.  If i jump in discord with a buddy, he can hear me perfectly.  Drivers are up-to-date, Corsair software is up-to-date.  Something in the relationship between Origin's native voice chat, Apex's voice chat, and Corsair's software is distorting my mic.  (i also get some other issues when discord is running in the back too, but I'll ask around about that.)

Additionally, if Apex is up and I'm playing sound on my speakers, but then i plug in my headset, I lose all sound in game.

    I'm using the corsair void pro and getting similar issues. For me, the audio is constantly stuttering/lagging. Turning off the surround sound in the corsair utility engine seams to help with this. The audio stops stuttering/lagging most of the time but it still occasionally does. I dont think its a problem with origin as I dont get this issue in any of the Battlefield games.
