Solved

My solution to the Badware issue

So you have probably already seen that Daemon tools lite has been a very common reason for this but many of, including me, uninstalled it but couldnt play the game anyways..  The solution that worked for me was to also delete EVERYTHING daemon tools related in the device manager even after I uninstalled the software. There was something under the storage tab and another thing under the USB controller tab. I unistalled both and now the game runs.

Good luck

  • It worked for me! I didn't even uninstall the Daemon tools but exited it and disabled it in the device manager. The games runs now. Thank you Balladalidila

  • My dude... you are the real OG. Everyone kept going on about deleting daemon tools but I didn't even think to look in the device manager after uninstalling it. Thanks!

  • JUST before i saw this post I decided to try and uninstall and reinstall... while the download is happening, I decided to see if anyone had found any other solutions- but I tried Device Manager and even though I ripped out Daemon tools with "Uninstallr" (The DAEMON Tools Uninstaller was corrupted for me) it left these drivers behind... i'm super convinced that this will be the fix for me and i'll update this if not...

    EDIT: Yes, it worked. Wow.

  • I have been playing APEX for over 500 hours now. A few days ago, while playing the game, I found that my pass, coins, season, and level were all gone. I love this game very much and I am very saddened by this. Can you help me solve this problem

After extensive troubleshooting, a solution was identified for resolving the "Apex Badware Error" (0x8000002), which prevents Apex Legends from launching or functioning correctly. This issue persists even after rebooting, uninstalling programs, or attempting client repairs. The following method provides a reliable fix for this problem:

    1. Download and Install Revo Uninstaller. Revo Uninstaller is a powerful tool that helps remove applications completely from your system, including any hidden or leftover files that might cause issues. It ensures that no trace of the application remains. 2. Reinstall Daemon Tools Lite. Although not ideal, reinstalling Daemon Tools Lite is necessary for this method. This step will allow Revo Uninstaller to properly detect and remove all associated files and settings. 3. Open Revo Uninstaller. Launch Revo Uninstaller if it’s not already open. 4. Select Daemon Tools Lite. In Revo Uninstaller, locate Daemon Tools Lite in the list of installed programs and select it. 5. Scan for Leftover Files (Advanced Scan). When prompted, choose the "Advanced" scan option. This will ensure that Revo Uninstaller scans for all leftover files, including those hidden or stored in system folders. 6. Select All Files and Delete. Once the scan is complete, ensure all detected files, folders, and registry entries are selected, then click "Delete." You will be prompted to confirm the deletion twice. Be sure to delete everything related to Daemon Tools. 7. Restart Your Computer. After the deletion process is complete, restart your computer to ensure that all changes take effect. 8. Launch Apex. Once your computer restarts, log in with your credentials and open Apex Legends. It should now launch and run properly!
