No Enemy Sound in Apex

Any encounter with the enemy team I hear no gunshots or footsteps. BUt I do hear my own shots and steps as well as my teammates and the environment. I literally only do not hear the enemies sounds. I...

    I just happened to fix this myself, if you go down and open up your sound settings> playback tab > select your headphones > spatial sound> and turn on 7.1 virtual surround sound with windows sonic it should start to sound how its meant to. Hope this helps!

i’m not able to turn to 7.1 because my audio interface’s only mode is quadrophonic. what can i do to fix ☹️ 

ive repaired. updated drivers. and am now reinstalling game. 

i tried to change in realtek but my interface is its own soundcard. works fine on every other game. i hope i can find a fix.

Same problem my friend is having, the only available option is quadraphonic and we have tried literally everything possible to fix this. It doesn't make sense that it works for every other game we have ever played except for this one.. so I know changing stuff on our end sounds like a temporary fix to a larger problem from APEX itself.

    agreed. hopefully they can get a fix for this like including an option to chose your sound device instead of only the default windows ones. every other game works fine.
