PC ban affects console after Cross Progression

Hi, i only play on Playstation. Yesterday the cross progression popped up and it linked with a Steam Account that was played exactly 1 time on in January 2022 and has a ban on it with the date "Oct 28th 2023"

I was able to log into my PlayStation account afterwards but then i noticed I didnt find any game. Matchmaking is stuck on1-6 players in Queue.

I thought it was a temporarily thing but until today i still cant get into any game.

But thats not all. Few times it did connect me to a match when i picked GunRun (after a veryy long time/hours) and there were only PC players! (I repeat I'm on PlayStation) and most of them had chinese/japanese/korean letters.

So let me sum this up:

After Cross Progression with a banned steam account my PlayStation account got rendered useless. I am unable to get into any game (Trios, Duos) and the very few i did manage were all PC players from a total different region.

Update Dec 3th 2023 : It is now conformed that Console accounts indeed get affected by cross progression with a banned Steam account since a players Steam Ban got lifted and afterwards their console account started working again properly.

Update Dec 6th 2023: The Glitch has been eliminated ,it was more of a technical problem, not anything with the account(s) from player side.

Does no one else have that problem? I cant get into any game anymore and when i do after HOURS i'm in PC Lobbies on PLAYSTATION: I never asked for that Cross Progression and now it broke my game that i have put 1000 hours and a lot of money in. PLEASE HELP!

Hi, I'm having exactly the same issue since cross progression. It worked for 1 day after the I received the cross progression and now it stopped.. Have you found a solution?

@ChaosGoddess_xo Yes im having the same problem, look in EA website if you have a ban for your other PC account because i also played 1 time in pc 3 years a go and i just found out that i got a ban for the pc version less than a year a go when it was impossible.... i think the problem is that hackers hack accounts like ours that only played for 1 day and then get bannned but since we forget that our accounts even existed when we do cross-progression our accounts get linked and then ban affects the xbox/ps5 version.

It is a little relief that I am not the only one , it gives me a little hope that it might be possible to fix it.
Now to the facts,
1. I did check and there is a ban on the steam account. I was able to unlink it and then it linked back for some reason and i asked then to help me and they said they cant do anything. That steam Apex account said it has been played for 2 hours in January 2022. But! Respawn confirmed that it would NOT affect my Playstation account if cross progression happened. So i was like alright im happy on my Playstation, i dont need anything else
2. Right after the cross progession appeared its unable to find a game., I stay in Queue endlessly. Which literally makes the game unplayable and broken.
3. If I do find a game after hours (only GunRun will work) then i am in a PC ONLY lobby (on PLAYSTATION!) and there is only people with Asian letters. I tried to ask what server they are from but unfortunately no one answered. Its definately not my region though.
My conclusion is that accidently(?) some restriction did take over, or something glitched. Its definately not normal to be pushed in a PC lobby on a Playstation console. That also means the Playstation account is not fully banned. but it has some weird glitch/Ghost ban on it.

@ChaosGoddess_xo Everything is the same for me, EVERYTHING. The problem is that you have to remember that sometimes games will put banned accounts in the same games so maybe that's what they are doing, instead of not letting you play they do this to waste your time, i know COD will do this..... I´m saying this because i also got my LOL account hacked a few years a go beause i stop playing the game for years, when i logged back it had a half a year ban and if i went to the history of recent games i could confirm someone was playing with my account.
That said i don't think that's what happened to us because when i download EA app and downloaded apex legends for pc i saw that it said last time played year 2020, so i think it's because i have multiple accounts in xbox that are linked to the same EA account? I don't know but they really did us here, If you go to your ban can you tell me the date? for me the date of the bad is 27 OCT, just before season 19 so which i don't think it's a coincidence.

@dragonsflam3 Now it says Oct 28th 2023. Thats really strange. The ban was january 2022 and my account has been secured after that. So theres no chance anyone used it anywhere on PC or Steam, I get a code when someone even tries to log in. Also in the FAQ EA said PlayStation account will NOT be affected.

Seems like something went terribly wrong there. Cause not only i lost my club after cross progression , i also cant play no game anymore on my PS5 or i get into PC Lobbies in a whole different region.

yep, i´ve been searching all apex forums and i confirmed 4 other people that have our same problem all with a ban for pc the 27 OCT 2023 around 10:00 pm and 12:00 pm...... so yes something went really really wrong......

I'm having the same problem, I thought it was only a server issue and thinking I can't play bc the servers are full or something, and I remember I got a ban before on my pc account but I don't even know why it got banned in the first place but I stopped playing it there and have over 1000+ hours on my ps4 for apex. How can I check the ban list?

@shut435557 replying to my recent comment, I just found my ban list and it says it's currently active and the date was Oct 27, 23 11:32pm
