PS4 Controller Bluetooth Connection Not Working
Good evening,
I've been playing Apex a lot lately and was tired with using a cord as the connection to my PC, by the title of this thread I'm using a PS4 controller (v2 if that helps).
I bought a Bluetooth dongle (Techkey 5.0) and downloaded the drivers that it comes with. After booting up Origin and logging into Apex, there was no detection that I was using my controller.
I've looked through several threads explaining what could be potential issues and solutions, but none of them work. Below is a list of details about my problem:
- I have downloaded DS4 Windows, but I deleted the ViGEm driver that this app uses
- The cord connection works fine/there is nothing wrong with the controller itself
- I've tested if the connection between the controller and the computer itself was detected using gamepad-tester.com and my controller was detected
- I have both Steam and Origin versions of this game, the wireless connection does not work on either of them.
- My computer does not have built in Bluetooth, neither have I downloaded any drivers for Bluetooth (besides those for my Bluetooth dongle)
- I do have other connections on my computer including my headset and my wireless mouse, but after removing the dongles for each one individually and simultaneously nothing was to my avail
- I've tried using DS4 Windows to emulate the controller (Emulate DS4 option and Presets set to Gamepad/Dualshock 4) but nothing works.
- My controller was connected under "Bluetooth" in the Bluetooth settings and not "Everything Else"
If there's anything that I haven't tried it would be downloading any drivers. Please let me know if you have any other questions or have a solution to this.
