PSN connection issues?

My son (PS5) and my buddy (PS4) can't connect. 

Says "Datacenters: Downloading...0"

And of course the datacenter list is empty 

I'm on XSS with no problems, same home/network as my son. Both systems connected via ethernet cable 

Assuming something is out on the PSN side

    @EA_Kent PSN was out last night for an hour or two, that was it - he was able to get on later in the night

    Hey @Almatucadros, 

    I'm not seeing any recent outages. Are they still having any trouble connecting? If so, are you and your friend located in the same area? Do you all use the same ISP?
