If a hardware ban is not lifted upon appeal as below, you will need to use a different device and likely account to play.
You can dispute any action against your EA account by following the steps in this article:
https://help.ea.com/en/help/account/information-about-banned-or-suspended-accounts/ Just some cybersecurity tips for you and I know that this may not be the answer you are looking for but it is what I can offer.
Maybe you can return the PC for a refund.
Point #9 is what most relates to your problem.
Account Safety
How to keep your account and hardware safe 101:
- Use strong passwords for you game account.
- Use strong passwords for the associated E-mail account. Keep track of your e-mail accounts and what they are connected to.
- Do not share either of these passwords with others. Keep note of your passwords in a safe place.
- Enable two factor identification for both the game and associated E-mail accounts.
- Do not let others use your game account (Friends and family alike) because if they do something wrong on your account it is still your fault, nobody wants to have a sanction on their account because somebody else did or said something wrong.
- Do not use internet café’s to access your account and play, you do not know what software is on the hardware there, you do not know if the hardware at the cafe has a hardware ban and this can affect your account in a negative way.
- I would suggest only accessing your account with your own trusted hardware, gaming on another person’s hardware brings some of the same risks as above.
- I would also suggest not letting others use your hardware in order to play with their account, because if they get a hardware ban on your hardware while using it, it can have a negative affect on your account.
- Buying used hardware comes with risks as well. The hardware could have been banned and this is not an EA problem but a problem between the buyer and the seller.
- Play nice with others, in other words do not de-mean, harass or bully others in Chat or over voice coms, both can be reported and that can also have a negative effect on your account.
- Use non-offensive user/gamer tag/club tags, if you get a warning about such change it, doing otherwise can lead to a negative effect on your account.
- Play fair, boosting and teaming are cheating.
- Play fair using cheating software or hardware is not fair and is really only cheating yourself.
- Re-read the Terms of Service agreement and the Terms of Sale agreement you agreed to play this game and adhere to it. https://www.ea.com/legal/user-agreement and https://www.ea.com/legal/terms-of-sale
About points 7, 8, and 9, I do know that not everyone can afford multiple hardware setups for the entire family and there is trust that has to be there, talking about the does and don’ts on the use of shared hardware should be done so everybody can enjoy what they do on the hardware and everyone can be safe.
If you believe you have been hacked take appropriate measures to secure your account and associated E-mail account https://help.ea.com/en-gb/help/account/secure-hacked-ea-account/
If you believe that a sanction (Suspension/Ban) placed on your account was by mistake you should reach out to the Terms of Service team https://help.ea.com/za/help/account/information-about-locked-or-banned-or-suspended-accounts/

Whole EA community trolling around or what?
No wonder why people using [Edit - Admin.] since that's you guys forcing people to do it..
Nobody is trolling you.
Nobody is forcing you to do anything.
Using third party tools could put your account in danger.
We have provided you with the assistance and tips to help you out, however we can not directly assist with account actions here on AHQ.
Like what account you talking about? Only game i was playing on EA is Apex (was).
I simply asked to lift that HWID Ban from ToS service 5 times, they listed my messages as "duplicate", probably i also got banned from "EA Help Services" too because can't even click on a single "help" link, but for what?
Because i bought a 2nd hand PC and my account disappeared, put yourself into my shoes.
Don't expect that account ban to be lifted, didn't know that was against EA rules that's totaly my fault.
I totaly understand what you guys doing here and i respect that, i totaly do but the ToS service...
I didn't grief anyone, didn't use a single bad word, no third party tools, NOTHING yet i ended up losing my account, my joy.
How do you expect me to follow your rules anymore?
I get that you are upset and rightfully so, i would be to.
However like I mentioned buying used hardware is problematic in the cybersecurity world and protecting your account starts with you.
One does not know what software is installed on that used hardware, there are so many things that could be there (hidden installed software) that could not only compromise your gaming account but also you e-mail, banking, Facebook, twitch etc etc accounts.
On top of all that the PC/console etc could have HWID bans from different orgs to include EA.
This could be one of the reasons that the PC was for sale in the first place.
This is one of the reasons why I sometimes add my cybersecurity tips to threads.
At this point, and I know this is not the answer you are looking for, your only recourse will probably have to be making a new account and using a different hardware to access it.
I would also suggest trying to get a return on your PC, however this might be difficult as they were up front about being banned.
- @Asmodeus566 Do you have any idea which parts of the PC should i buy/replace then. I won't go and take my money back, if you have any idea please let me know otherwise it would be so painful for me..
I can see your plight as the purchase was from a friend.
As far as you question goes I cannot answer that, as that would provide info for actual cheaters on how to circumvent bans.
ya bro don't expect much this company is a joke when it comes to customer service.
I too, probably have the same issue as you.
Played on xbox for years. They released cross progression and I became interesting in playing the game on a brand new PC I bought.
Using the EA app on my PC to play on my xbox account, I played maybe a handful of times before I got banned. Disputed it and it got overturned and I was instantly rebanned.
Ive reached out multiple times through emailing them since thats the only option I receive when disputing it and they haven't reached out what so ever.
(further context, my xbox acc had an autogenerated email that is completely inaccessible. Its literally an autogenerated email. So trying to change the email to me actual email probably flagged it but still no help what so ever)
At the end of the day they have our money from purchases so what do they care right? Its like they operate in the early 2000s..
I also got banned yesterday and 3 day before on 2 accounts i dont know why there are no reasons... I'm a new player and wanna see if i enjoy the game or not. I have linked my accounts on steam and PSN. I haven't trashtalked or cheated so i don't know why i got banned twice lol they didn't mention anything in particular for my bans if only i knew the reason. I'm trying to find a solution to get unbanned but seems like it won't happens i guess i have to find anew game 😕
I also got banned for no reason and I'm playing on the same device and when I came back they said I got banned bro
- @EA_Barry Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I was just wondering if there's any insight to be given on a ban where neither on the infraction page, or through the 3 allotted disputes any information about the Ban was given.
I got banned (despite not touching the game for around a year) a week before I tried to play on PC with Cross Progression, my infraction page gave me no reason, In my disputes I attempted to understand why I was banned in order to... dispute the ban, but the replies were very cold and simple stating the Ban was correct.
No information of what I did to get banned, and every ticket was automatically shut so I had to use all 3 Disputes just to ask questions that I never got answers to.
I'd just like to know why I got banned from Apex, literally no one is capable of telling me why and I just can't fathom it. Have exactly the same problem...
Installed this game and 3days later got ban without even playing... tried to dispute this ban, but got 3times the same auto-answer.
Now, i'm stuck here with my account banned and can even play on a differrent EA account bcs my steam is linked to the one who is ban...Im having the same exact issue. Seems like EA likes to ban for no reason, no wonder the Apex community has shrunk so much. EA likes to play games with their player base. Smh.
Hello, I just started playing after a few years. Now my account is banned from 27-OCT-23, I wasn't even playing tf? disputing the ban via EA Help is useless. There isn't even any "reason" why I was banned. How can I get banned when I don't even play the game. Can anyone help?
I was banned on the same day as you LOL
Haven't played since 2021 and tried to come back today.- Freyouz2 years agoRising Rookie
It seems they've put a new automated banning process online.
It's not working as intended and is unde-rpar in it's judgement process as players can spew profanity/slander on vocal with no consequences, but if you even restate what the person said (as in 'wow you said that...') you'll be banned.
I still haven't spoken to a human. I have been banned from Apex Legends and my main EA account. What's wrong with you EA? I played this game once or twice on my account. I was banned on 28 October 2023, but only now I noticed the ban when I wanted to play Crysis on Xbox Game Pass from EA Play.
Update, I contacted EA Support to overturn my ban and in a day I was unbanned. Rare W?
My case review was decline. I don't know what to do next... :c
If you don't mind losing progress, a new account should be a good solution!
Did you get it back?
