Re: Apex freeze/crash after a few seconds after today's update

Apex Legends is crashing on startup, according to a post I made on reddit, I am not the only one. It is happening during startup. This is on PC, via Steam. I have a 5950x and a 4070. 64 GB of ddr4 memory. 

I get a very laggy intro video and it freezes eventually and crashes. Now I am simply getting a white or black screen followed by a crash. There are usually no error codes, but sometimes it gives the following error message : The instruction at 0x00007FF839400001 referenced memory at 0x00007FF839400001. The memory could not be written. 

I also occasionally get an easy anti cheat violation message a few minutes after the game crashed. 

I have reinstalled the game two times, tried limiting fps to 240, or 100, or 60. I tried fixing anti cheat but the anti cheat setup file refuses to open, it just pops up for a millisecond and disappears. I tried deleting all anti cheat files from my pc and reinstalling apex but no luck. I also tried verifying integrity of game files via steam but once again, no luck. I also deleted all temp files. Nothing is working. I have spent 3 or 4 hours now trying to fix this issue. 

Any help would be appreciated.
