I haven’t played apex in almost a year and was about to start playing again until I ran into something that said my account is locked I have no prior bans or any bad history with apex so I’m confused and it honestly made me not wanna play anymore just because I have to go through hoops to play again hopefully someone can help me

An account lock isn't necessarily a ban, but often a sign that we detected someone else accessing or attempting to access the account. In those cases it may be locked down to prevent further activity until we can verify that only the account owner has access.
If you haven't already, I would definitely check through these security steps just to make sure everything is under your control. From there please contact support directly so they can verify some information and help get this unlocked and back to normal for you.
