Solved: Settings Reset on Startup

When I start the game up, all of my settings reset. This includes keybindings, video settings, audio volume, etc.

Also, on Origin, it says I have played 0 hours, though I've easily played over six.

I've changed my username when the game was open and was wondering if this might be the cause.

  • For me deleting the file "video_settings_saved_quit" in the folder of the game : "X:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Apex\cfg" solved the problem.

I hope it will work for you.

  • Try going to the actual game file, I think it’s called r5apex, and check to see if it’s “read only” as well as the video settings. Take them off “read only”

  • I uncheck Read Only, but when I reopen properties, Read Only is automatically checked again. I am unable to unmark the Read Only option.
